The Town of Paradise Valley has been running a photo ticketing scam since the late 80's and it's only gotten worse since. The town government, including Mayor Michael Collins, seems to be 100% complicit with the recently criminally indicted vendor they are using to run the cameras - Redfle Traffic Systems of Australia. Redflex executives, in just the last year have been indicted for fraud and bribery.
Redflex cameras dot all corners of PV and the police don't monitor the program at all.
It's all just a corrupt foreign vendor who has carte blanche to steal your money and a kangaroo court in PV to prop them up.
These tickets aren't cheap and if you drive through the town as a tourist you're almost guaranteed to be ripped off for $1000 or more in phony speending and right light tickets that the town and Redflex are profiting mightily off of.
Many rental car agencies have an agreement to automatically charge your credit card on file as soon as the cameras take your picture.
