I have been looking for a place to rent on craigslist Vancouver Bc when I came across this Ad for a three bedroom apt for rent for $ 750.00 it sounded to good to be true. I decided to send an email to find out more about this really nice Apt.

I sent my email to Victor Crochetat on April 30 2014 It was May 05 2014 when I opened my email and found a reply back about that Apt I had inquired about for $750.00 . The email I recieved back was from Alexander Burral who is living in london England.

The email Starts with it saying, The apartment located in 8084 120A Street, Surrey, BC V3W 1V2 is still available I was shocked to see that it was still available as I was sure someone would have rented by then. I was also confused that there was no Apt number to go with the Address he just sent me.

Then he goes on to explaining how the Apt is furnished if I wanted to use furniture.But if didn't need to use his furniture I could have the furniture moved to a storage facility that is located just around the cornor and that he would pay for the furniture to be moved if I decided not to use it.

Then he goes on to saying the Lights and heat, Tv cable and Internet were all included as well as he has paid those bill in advance for a year.

He also says The apartment is in excellent condition, you only need to receive the keys and the contract so you can check the place. The apartment is perfect and I am 100% sure that you will keep it.

Then he says he needs to know how many people would be living in the Apt. I thought why do I need tell you that again as I already told you all that in the email I sent you.This made me think that he didn't even read the email I sent to him.

The email I sent to him started out with me saying how many people would be living in the Apt. I told him how old we all were and that I had a Little Boston Terrier Dog.

. Then he says Since I'm in London, United Kingdom obviously we need a safe way to complete this deal.The monthly payments can be wired to my Bank Account (TD Bank) or we can setup a payment method that is suitable for both of us.

The solution which can be used is to use a wolrdwide third party company called RentReporters. www.rentreporters.com

Then he says Please be aware that is NOT necessary for you to register with RentReporters Safe Exchange given because I'm a registered user for 4 years and I've made over 30 transactions with them.

So I sent him an email with the information he wanted about how many people would be living in his Apt. I sent it with just that info because I wanted to find out more about this worldwide thrid party company called Rent Reporter he was talking about.

So I went online to check out Rent Reporters and when I got to the website I was intrigued because nothing came up as it being on the scammers list So I decided to sign up for an account even though I was told I did not need to open my own account because Alexander already had his own account with them.for over ten years and has had over 30 transactions done with them.

I could not complete my resitration because I could not put in a canadian postal code in even though it say that it works in the usa and canada. they also don't have a list of our porvince's so it is impossible to complete my restration.

I decided to sent a support ticket to the contacts of Rent Reporters I did that on May 05 2014and I asked them to help me finish my application I still have not recieved a reply back from them

The only thing they sent me was you need to finish filling out your resitration so we can confirm your membership

I also decided to send a support ticket asking if they could confirm who Alexander Burrall is and does he really own the Apt in question.

I figured that if they actually emailed me back and confirmed everything Alexander told me It would be more believeable to me but I still have not recieved an email from them.

It is May 09 2014 and I checked my email and I found another email from Alexander with instruction on what I need to do so I can get the keys and the contract to the Apt he tells me

You only have to deposit to RentReporters company first month of rent from contract and damage deposit a total of 1300CAD so they can proceed with the shipping, and you can receive the rental package (the keys and the documents). I will pay for a 3-4days delivery time so you will receive the keys and the contract signed by me right away. I will explain you step by step how this process will work:

1 - To start the process all I need is your full shipping info (full name, address and your phone number).

2 - I will go to the RentReporters Safe Exchange office to deposit the keys and the contract on your name as the intended receiver.

3 - RentReporters Safe Exchange will check the package to see if everything is in order and also the legal papers that will come along with the keys and proof of ownership with their Real Estate Professional Department in London. They will also confirm with the building manager that I'm the legal owner of the apartment I'm renting to you.

4 - RentReporters Safe Exchange will send you a delivery notification to let you know they have the keys and the papers in their custody. They will also send you all the payment instructions to complete the rental transaction.

5 - You must send a money deposit on the RentReporters Safe Exchange Agent Name for the amount we agreed (for the first month of rent & damage deposit). The payment needs to be sent within 24 hours after you receive the transaction details or else they will charge me an additional fee.

6 - After you make the deposit you must send the payment details to RentReporters Safe Exchange.

7 - RentReporters Safe Exchange will verify the money transfer and if everything is in order they will start the shipping procedures using UPS or TNT Next Day Shipping Service.

8 - After you receive the package, you must go to check the apartment and in 5 days (inspection time) you must contact RentReporters Safe Exchange to inform them if you keep the apt or not. If everything is in order RentReporters will forward the funds to me. If you don`t want to keep the apartment you will receive a full refund in the final inspection time in cash from the agent who will come to your place to sign the rental contract.

Please note that RentReporters Safe Exchange will not release the funds to me without your approval

So I decided to google rent repoters safe transaction and holy crap thats when the scammer list came up and it is long it pages long i am so happy that you and google this kind of stuff because it saved me from losing $1300.00 and a Place to live if I would of paid for thaty Apt and found out it was not mine to move into I would of been homeless with no money and no where to put my stuff so thank you RIPPOFF REPORTS / SCAMS

I sent Alexander an email back explaining I would not be taking his Apt and I dont appreciate him trying to steal my money and that I would be reporting him to the R.C.M.P.
