My family was given a $25 gift card to Restaurrant.com for Christmas. We followed the online instruction for chosing a place to eat and printed a certificate. We went to the restaurant and had lunch. We then went up to pay the cashier afterward to be told that they do not reconize that coupon nor do they know how they got signed up for such a coupon. Made us feel like idiot's who just printed a coupon off our own printer and tried to pass it off at the merchant. One Google search and find a lot of fellow consumers posted here about how they were ripped off.

Today, I recieve this email: "Hey there, We are sorry to inform you the "merchant name" is no longer participating in our program. Your account contains 1 gift certificate to this restaurant. We are happy to offer an exchange, just follow these steps from your desktop computer: 1, Sign in to My Account and click exchange 2, Find your credi in Gift Cards 3, Redeem for another restaurant certificate"

I told them I have thrown the gift card and certificate in the trash and have reported this here.

Hello ,

Thank you for contacting Restaurant.com. We apologize for any frustrations. If you sent an email about wanting to exchange a restaurant certificate, we wanted to let you know that you may now exchange your restaurant certificates directly from your Restaurant.com account! You simply need to log in to your Restaurant.com account and you will see the 'Exchange' link to the right of each of your restaurant certificate codes and the value. Next, click on the blue 'Exchange' link, and check off that you certify that the certificate has not been used. Then, press the green 'Exchange Certificate' button, and you immediately will be presented with two options: Redeem Now or Redeem Later. You can choose to select a new restaurant right away or you can wait to redeem the new egift card until a later time. If you select to Redeem Later, your Restaurant.com eGift card will appear under the Gift card section in your account and whenever you are ready to assign new restaurants using your credit, click on the blue “Redeem” link, which is located on the far right of each eGift Card option.

If you have already exchanged your restaurant certificate, then a new eGift card has been placed into your Restaurant.com account. Whenever an exchange is completed, the restaurant certificate, which is an 8 digit code, is removed from your account and an eGift card is added to you account, which is a new code that has 10 digits.

To view or redeem the eGift card, please log into your Restaurant.com account, and follow the steps below on to obtain your new eGift card:

*Click on “My Account,” which is at the top of the screen.

*On the Account Management page, click on “Gift Cards,” which is the second link down under the blue heading of "My Orders."

*All available Restaurant.com eGift Cards will be listed for you in this section.

*When you are ready to assign new restaurants to your credits, click on the blue “Redeem” link, which is located on the far right of each eGift Card option.

If you are ready to redeem your Restaurant.com eGift Card, please follow these steps:

٭ Find the 10-digit number of the Restaurant.com eGift Card you would like to redeem.

٭ Click on the blue “Redeem” link, which is located on the far right of each eGift Card option.

٭ Once the credit has been applied to your cart, please enter a zip code.

٭ Choose your restaurant

٭ Click on “Add to Cart”

٭ Click “Check Out”

٭ Verify the restrictions for the restaurant and click on “Continue”

٭ Since you are a registered member, enter your email address and password.

٭ Once all your information is verified click on “Submit.”

After your order is finished processing click on the link provided on the confirmation page to view and print the certificate.
