Robert Benfer is an online video creator, most famous for his stop-motion clay comedy videos. He has been creating the videos for 10 years and had announced that he will be finishing his clay videos and move on to more live-action videos. To go along with his finale, he decided to sell a box set of all his videos along with the final 30 min long video.
I purchased a pre-order of a DVD Boxset from Robert Benfer in March 2013, for $60. He initially said the pre-sale was only to find how many DVDs he needed to print and that the box set should be recieved in June 2013.
June 2013 comes around, and he has extended the deadline of the pre-order as he hasn't completed the video for the last DVD of the box set.
September 2, 2013 I recieve the following email:
Hello buddies! (buyers 51 through 100)
First off I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates and also for all the delays. I've spent the last few months working on the 30 minute Klay World finale and it took much longer to finish than i thought it would. I also moved to a new place in the middle of post-production which also delayed things a bit.
But the movie is finally done, and now i can focus all my energy and attention to finishing up all the box sets and getting them out to people. It will now be my main project. I'm hoping to get all the box sets out by the end of September.
Also, as promised, for pre-ordering the box set you have also received a free advanced download of the finale "All Gone" which I have posted a link to below! (Make sure to give it time to load) The movie will also be apart of the box set!
I thank you again for your support and apologize again for the delays/lack of response. You will be getting your box set soon!

Instead of BCCing everyone in the above email, he just sent it in the regular recipients, and so we were able to communicate. None of us have yet to recieve this Box Set.
On Jan 20, 2014 one of the buyers managed to get a reply from him. It says the following:
Hundreds of people ordered the box set. Due to limited time and the amount of recourses I need to put together for each item I can only get about 20 out a month. It's going to take awhile for everybody to receive their copies.
We haven't had any response from him since.
He has not responded to any emails. Any attempts to talk to him via Facebook or Youtube get promptly deleted, and the account gets blocked. His website has been down for 5 months now.
Over this time, he has advertised on his youtube channel about selling more box sets at discounted price, or various other DVD offers. It appears he has failed to follow through on this as well.
DO NOT buy anything from this man. He will take your money and has no intention of ever giving you the product.
