This repair shop is sorry and the mechanic (Jay) is incompetent and the owner (Robert) covers up his mess and lies and delays and makes silly excuses as to why the contracted work is not completed.
Here's what they have done to us, Read Below:
We took our vehicle to Robert's Automotive as we had enetred into a contract to pay them $1,900.00 to replace an engine in our vehicle with the reasonable and common sense expectation that the job would be completed in a timely manner.
Further, the contracted expectation was that the replacement engine would function properly without any mechanical or otherwise problems with the engine or any aspect of it so that we may have our vehicle back operating in a (normal) manner.
The owner, (Robert) insisted upon Cash money upfront before they would do any work on our vehicle. We delivered $1,400.00 plus an additional $350.00 upon his request to complete the engine replancement job.
It has been approximately 1 1/2 months since qe delivered our vehicle to his shop and still, we are without any transportation or means to go the doctor, grocery store, pay bills, etc. restricted to our home, waiting on Robert's Automotive !
Finally, after numerous phone calls and endless excuses, we decised to call upon one of our relative's in our fsmily. She is Licensed by the State of Georgia as a Consumer Advocate Attorney for the public.
She is preparing to represent us in this matter with the full intent of filing complaints against Robert's Automotive located at 1706 Floyd Rd. Columbus GA.
She has made initial informal contact with Robert's Automotive with negative results. They were un-cooperative on the phone.
Our Attorney isnow compiling several writtien consumer complaints to be filed with the Municiple Court, The Contractor and Business Licensing Board for a grievence hearing before a Hearing Officer/Judge.
Lastly,
We will file a lein upon the business (Robert's Automotive) to collect filing fees due their negligence and breeching the repair contract.
This Robert's Automotive is a sorry unfit incompetent operation and we unfortunatly, have finally exhausted our patience with this place. and tthese liars who take innocent people's money and do not complete or perform the contracted work.
They even tried to released our vehicle back in a completly UNSAFE and DANGEROUS condition. The trottle / Idle was stuck in an accelerated mode, causing the vehicle to lunge fast forward the very second the ignition was turned on. Very Dangerous and we refused to accept our vehicle in that ridiculous unsafe condition. It never had any such problem when we delivered it to them for an engine replacement.
