In early this year, we contracted with Royal Finish, Inc. to refinish tubs, tile, cabinets, and counters in our apartments in Akron, Ohio. They are horrible. Not only do they do a horrible job refinishing, their customer service is horrible.
The jobs performed in five (5) apartments were of very poor service. Upon reporting our dissatisfaction with the service provided, the technician returned but was confused about what was wrong. Once pointed out, he said he'd repair it right away. The next day his regional manager inspected it and called me stating it was most definitely substandard work and he'd get it handled. To date, absolutely nothing has been done. I took phots at the time of the reporting and again recently. After months of complaining, all we have received are threats of collections, law suits, and liens.
To add insult to injury, their 12 month warranty is a joke.
Almost every single tub they reglazed has begun to peel in the 13th and 14th months. Wtih no recourse, we are forced to have them completely redone. We have video evidence proving the technician never even cleaned the tubs before spraying them. When they peel off you can see the soap scum and grime. We are tallying up the costs of having them redone and plan to charge them back for the extra work and inconvenience.
We have spoken to several of our contemporaries in the Akron, Ohio area and hear the exact same thing. We have all stopped using them and warn everyone...stay far away from these guys. They are esentially stealing your money!!!!!! If you are outside of their base in Dallas you will get nothing but bad service and horrible customer service.
