On 8/18/2014 I called the shop to request a rim for my Nissan 350z. The man on the other line, most likely the owner, said that he had it available and that I can come by the shop to get it. When I got there, he said he did not have it and would have to order it . Since I needed it badly, I went ahead and forked over the 200 dollars cash. The owner also stated that he would deliver the part to my house the next day.
So a day went by and I noticed that nothing came in and I called the shop to check on the status of my order. Oddly, a man picked up (it was the voice of the owner) and said that there was no power in the shop and that nobody was able to work and things got delayed...and that he will check on the status of my part...
two days passed and I called again. Exactly the same man picked up and he gave me the same run around...he said that he will contact the owner and that he will get back with me.
3 days have passed and nothing happened.
Finally I was fed up with the runaround and i called the owner and decided to come to the store on Friday 8/22 to demand my money back.
When I arrived at the store, I had confronted the owner about the status of my part and demanded my money back. The owner refused and things got heated.
After I realize that this I wasn't going to get my money back, I decided to file a report with the city of Grand Prairie Police department.
A few hours after I have called the Grand Prairie police department, I was contacted by Officer Brown regarding my report. I was shock when he told me that this business have received numerous complaint over the years, but the City of Grand Prairie has done nothing to shut down this business!!
So I went online to do a little investigative work. I found out that his business has received 32 complaints through the BBB. In addition, there are numerous reviews about people getting swindled from this business in the same manner that I did.
This Business needs to be shut down, owner needs to go to jail!
Sanchez Auto Parts is running a scam and ripping people off. He is using craigslist to help him do it, but it is not craigslists fault by any means. We found an engine there that he was advertising that had 35k miles on it for a Mazda3. We had to put a deposit down for them to remove the engine. Once the engine was removed, or said it was removed, we went down to take a look at it. As my brother was finishing the deal, I the certified mechanic, was looking at the engine. The owner would not let me do any checks on the engine and said if I removed anything he would not cover the warranty.
So after just briefly looking at the engine and saw the engine oil pan was filled with dirt and the timing cover only had 4 bolts in it with red rtv coming out of it, I told him we did not want to take the engine. He said the engine only had 35K miles on it and that was his first lie.
He said that he guaranties the engine to be good, that was his second lie and then the fly wheel would only turn a 1/4 of a turn. There was the third lie. This engine was probably returned for the 35k mile engine we were looking for. So after we did not like the motor we requested our money back and he said nope no refunds, even though we never left the premises. He took the money I put down 2 weeks ago and the money we had gave him 5 min before.
So I am writing this now to warn anyone that needs a part not to use Sanchez Auto Parts. It is just a matter of time that this company will be shut down for good and that owner will get what is coming for him. The Police have told me that there has been 45 reports in just the last few months for this one business alone. He would not even show up and was having his son do his dirty work and would yell at me over the phone but would not show up until after the police had arrived. This guy is ripping good people off and giving junk yards a bad name. I have been going to junk yards since I was a boy and this is the first time I have ever had a problem.
Doing business the right way will always make you more money. If there is anything I can do to keep people from giving their money away to this guy I will.
