Great Coach

I've worked with different coaches in my life before and I can say that Scott Fishman is one of the best coaches I've ever worked with. I have no reason to believe that he would scam someone or give even mediocre advice to his clients. He cares about his athletes and adjusts training to fit exactly into every athlete life.

After researching scamorg.com for a bit I do have reasons to believe that this whole site shouldn't exist.

I HIGHLY recommend Scott Fishman as a Coach

I have been working with Scott for over one year now. He is highly professional and a fantastic coach. I have become a much stronger runner with his training plan. He customizes his approach for each of his athletes. Within months of working with Scott, I achieved a PR in my marathon by 8 minutes and I have now qualified for Boston twice while working with him. He provides excellent tips; so many which have helped me run faster and more efficiently. I have asked Scott for recommendations on nutrition and fuel and he has been extremely helpful with advice on healthy options. I HIGHLY recommend Scott as a Coach. He is a fantastic coach and a wonderful person.

Favorite Coach!

Scott Fishman, is a great coach and individual. I made the commitment to work with Scott the day after completing my first marathon. Not yet his client, I reached out to him (randomly) the night before the marathon for some last minute advice. Scott spent 30 minutes on the telephone with me that evening. His tips on how to approach the race course and other details were spot on. He even predicted my finish time - and was right!

I was not just another client or runner to Scott. He took the time to learn about me as an individual. Scott motivates and supports you tirelessly. He is always there, watching and gives you the encouragement you need.

Since training with Scott, I have had the best success with my running. I am running races at times I never thought I could and have accomplished Personal Records in 4 mile, 10Ks, and Half Marathon races.

I will continue to work with Scott and will recommend him to anyone who needs a running Coach!

Positive Coaching Experience with a Professional Coach

I have been working with Scott since the fall of last year. When I made the commitment to run a full marathon I knew that my own training routine would not be sufficient to accomplish this goal. While training with Scott, I have remained injury free and increased my running times/pace, even achieving a personal best in a recent 5k race. Scott has always been supportive, helpful, and encouraging. We talk frequently and make adjustments to my schedule as often I have to travel for work. Certainly personal coaches and training programs are not for everyone, but I have been very satisfied with the working experience I have with Scott and will continue to recommend him to others who are seeking assistance.

Totally Positive Experience

I've been training under Scott Fishman for nearly a year now and have had nothing but a totally positive experience. His training program is very well programmed - periodized, well laid out throughout the week, and tough but achievable. His personal advice to me, apart from changes made to my program as I progress, has been along the lines of using visualization to achieve goals, perfecting pacing in training runs and during races, postural tips for maximizing energy during long races, and learning from negative experiences during races, so I can work on them in training. During the time I've worked with Scott, I've achieved PRs in the 4mile, 5mile, 10K and half marathon (in the latter I actually knocked nearly 8 minutes off my PR). I've not been injured once while training with him and I believe this is because of his intelligent, periodized training plan, which he writes week to week and assesses daily to change workouts as necessary. He truly listens to his clients and is always available by text, email or phone call. I can only imagine the laughable "review" from someone suggesting Scott promotes drugs was prompted by jealousy or spite.

No more injuries

My injuries disappeared after hiring Coach. It may be a coincidence but I do not think so. I will continue to recommend Scott to my friends when they complain to me about running injuries. Thank you Scott.

In response to the person that agrees with the person that made up the story about drugs

The reply that I posted was what my lawyer suggested that I reply with after this anonymous person made up a story about me on here. I’m sorry you had a bad experience. We’ve been in business for 8 years, we help lots of people, and we strive to create the best possible coaching experience for everyone. I have been coaching and training athletes for 13 years and I have multiple certifications and a college degree in this field so I am not sure why you believe that I am not qualified. If you can let me know what it is that makes you feel like I am not qualified, please feel free to call or email me directly. Thank you for your input.

Response from business owner

This posting is a wholesale falsehood and completely libelous. I have never advocated the use of any type of drug to a client - ever. To the person hiding behind this anonymous persona: if you have any honor, you will let your true identity be known. But be sure to research “libel per se” before you come out of the dark, and brush up on your spelling.

Open to discussion

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, on twitter, we are limited to 140 characters for a tweet so simplicity is required. I will be launching a YouTube show and iTunes Podcast on September 30th so feel free to check it out if my beliefs in detail are what you are truly interested in. I am en educator and I will continue to educate people. I am also a student and will continue to study my craft. When someone asks me a question in which I do not know the answer, and that happens to everyone of course, I go right ahead to my bookshelf of scientific studies and start reading. Helping others achieve goals and dreams is such a passion of mine that I truly love learning and sharing what I learn. Again, although I do not appreciate the way you have gone about this, I am more than happy to have a discussion with you. I would contact you directly but you have been anonymous and you have not expressed who you are or how I can reach you. Thank you again for chiming in.

All these positive reviews in one day??

Really? You expect us to believe you didn't write these, all in the one day. You're a bigger fraud then I thought.

  • Sep 14, 2014

The positive reviews are all real.

Believe it. When you care for people and dedicate your life to helping others the way I do, clients don't mind writing a review sharing the truth about their experience working together. After reading your hatred, name calling, and made up stories about me, I emailed a few of my clients and asked them to speak some truth. They are authentic as am I. You seem to be the fraud.

Good for you SF

You continue on doing what you do. You know the truth deep down. My fellow coaches also know the truth.

I am surprised it took you so long to bring "hate" into this. I disagree with you, the "guru" and I am a hater. Keep spreading the, "you get injured on a generic training plan" message. Perhaps if you start to discuss in more detail your experience and beliefs on your twitter account you will be taken more seriously in the running world, you may be a coach but don't pass yourself off as an experienced running coach with all the answers. Try a little humility and less self promotion. Your twitter feed is actually quite boring and repetitive.

Don't worry, I've unfollowed you quite a while ago.

Guru - are you kidding me?

I am baffled how this person has 133k followers on Twitter, it just shows how easy it is to mislead people on the internet. His posts are cringe inducing to us professional running coaches, he is simply someone who plagiarizes quotes from others and applies them as his own as though he is some sort of guru. I have yet to see what his actual running coaching experience is, perhaps he is a generic coach.

I don't understand how he hasn't been sued for plagiarizing the photographs and quotes of others. This guy is no guru. His twitter account is one of pure self promotion with silly pictures of himself, he smacks of a narcissist. Anyone who challenges any of his "beliefs" is called a hater, a classic answer so he doesn't actually have to reply with any detail on any subject. Any authentic and genuine coach will have no problem conversing with someone who disagrees with them or asks for simple advise. All he goes on with is, "you will get injured with a generic training plan".

It really is a shame that someone can rip off people like he is doing. I fully support authentic runners, running coaches and people who actually have experience in this field, I simply don't believe someone with computer skills should mislead people and be able to pass himself off as a "guru" in the running world. Like I said, genuine running coaches can see right through him. Go make your money as a generic coach.

Response to coach that follows me on twitter

Thank you for following me on twitter and sorry if you have had a negative experience reading my tweets. You can simply unfollow me if you do not care to read what I share. I don't want to see a follower go but I understand. Also, if you want to talk about my coaching or training experience, feel free to email or call me directly at any time. I am more than open to a discussion or in person meeting with a fellow coach. I appreciate your feedback.

My own experience

I don't know if you've actually used him or not but I am, currently. I DID get injured running with a generic group on a generic plan. I've had an injury for over 3 years. Using Coach Fishman's training plan has helped me not only run without further injury but my injury has gotten better! Using him along with a new physical therapist has made a world of difference for me. I'm a total believer in not using a generic plan and I do believe there is a much bigger opportunity for injury in using one. Just speaking from my own experience. Not trying to get involved in any drama.

The team all american website is a total fruad. Scott Fishman, told me directly to use drugs to enhance my skillset. I am a parent and often get little sleep. He told me there are drugs that can help with that, he then even pulled out pills from his pecket immeditely.

In agreement with the issued complaint

First of all, I respectfully disagree with the business owners approach to handling this complaint. I too would like to recommend others look into more qualified trainers than this individual. Speaking from experience, I simply would not recommend his services.

Drug Dealer? I don't think so.

I find it very hard to believe he is a drug dealer. I have asked about simple, innocent supplements and his response was, "No, just eat healthy food." I cannot imagine this could possibly be true.

Scott truly cares!

Scott has been my coach for the past 9 years and I am shocked that anyone can justify posting a negative review on a such a positive person in so many peoples lives. The only regret I have is that I did not start working with Scott and TAA sooner. He is the best in the running business and that is evident by his clients success. More importantly, he truly cares about people and works very hard to make his clients successful and happy. He even called me when I lost a family member to cancer, supported me when my friend was sick with pneumonia, and he has taught me so much about life including and not limited to doing what you love and helping others. I have run injury-free since we started working together and I plan to work with Scott for the rest of my life. The people that write negative reviews about him are probably just lazy and have issues that they need to deal with that no coach can help. If you are reading this and thinking about hiring Scott, you will be making the best investment for your running. I guarantee you that. This guy is a guru. Never stop inspiring, Scott. You are truly appreciated.
