Screamingowl.com offers children's clothing. I ordered a summere shorts outfit for a three year old five weeks ago and it has not arrived. When I went back onto their site online to try to contact the compay I discovered that the phone number they published 919-617-7695 is fake.
Today as I was looking at their email contact only page it informed me that they are "NOT A FAST SHIP COMPANY." they tell me that the shipping process won't even begin until the "end of their offer date" which was three weeks after I ordered it although the charge for the item appeared on my credit card the same day.
And this weeks after the order page informs me that the item will ship 3-5 weeks AFTER the "end of their offer date" and then say that this is how they keep their prices low hich are thheir exact words which they fail to mention when an order is placed.
They say to send them an email through their contact page and that they'll respond quickly with "3-5 days."
On the POST ORDER page I read today it informed me that they don't give refunds.
There are many posts on their Facebook page from people who paid for their order but weeks later still have not received their items. Then screamingowl.com has the audacity to tell people not to clog up their Facebook page with questions about where customers orders are.
If I ever get the order I placed it will arrive towards the end of the summer which will not allow the three year old I bought it for to get much wear of it if at all. I have a feeling that this outrageous delivery system is designed to take customers money and profit from the several weeks they hold it until they have to pay the vendor they mention that is creating it only after the "end of their offer date."
At the very least this is the worst customer service and shipping company I have ever run into but I think it's a full blown scam. I have no idea whether I will ever get this order but if I do not I WILL FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE IN NORTH CAROLINA WHERE THEY CLAIM THEY ARE PHYSICALLY LOCATED.
I had ordered two things from the screaming owl. Both time my clothing purchase was not marked with correct size. My medium dress bought for Easter was huge, they wouldn't refund or exchange due to policy. Now I'm stuck with a dress I cannot wear. My 18 month old got a christmas outfit, sized 24 months that way she could wear it longer. The thing fit her as if it was a 12 month size when it was marked 24 m. She could not wear it, it was too too small.
This company needs to mark their products correctly, it all was just a waste of money and now I'm stuck with things we cannot wear, not cheap either. Do not order from this website. It's false advertising.
