I bought a boat cover using their drop down menu in july 2017, i didn't put it on the boat until oct. 2017. It fit poorly, to say the least. It was about 18 inches too long and 5 feet too wide. I contacted them online on oct. 9, 2017 and was told they would send a return authorization. I re-contacted them online on oct. 18, 2017 and was told they would not exchange the cover due to their strict 30 day return policy. I called them shortly after the online conversation and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told there was not a supervisor available.

Terrible Company

I ordered a boat cover from this company which was supposed to be in stock and ready to ship in 2 days. After two days all I received was an email telling me that the item was actually not in stock and would not be available for 7 to 14 days. But that other colors were available. And left a number to call. So i called, dis-satisfied and asked for one of the other colors. The first " custome service " person i spoke to was rude when i suggested it was false advertising, telling me about the problems they have between sales and the warehouse. Then since their internal issues caused a shipping delay i ask them to expedite the other color so that i would still have it for my trip on time, and was told flat out no, i asked for a customer service supervisor, click, yep thats right, hung up on. So i call back and get "kim" who said she is the supervisor on the first call so I'm pretty sure they were monitoring my number. So I calmly explain to her what it just happened why I'm upset and what the first person did and that I expect their company to resolve it. Then i am told the best they could offer is to pay for half the expedite fee so that i would have my package i time, either that or they could just cancel the order. So because of theirvfalse advertising and poor internal communication from warehouse to sales i am forced to pay extra to get something other than i originally ordered within the timeframe promised. ripoff, rude and all around poor business attitude, ZERO customer service.

The cover I ordered was a birthday gift for my wife. The order was placed in the morning on a Thursday. Since I needed the item by close of business the next day, I paid the hefty charge for overnight shipping. I did not receive the item until 4 days later.

I called customer service, who said they couldn't do anything and would send me an email with a link to open a ticket. I opened the ticket requesting at minimum a partial refund for the delay in shipment. I was promptly denied any refund and was told that it sometimes takes them 2 days to even ship an item.

For those of you who may wonder what "real" customer service is. I recently placed an order with a very large company, who's name is synonym for the largest rain forest. When the order was not delivered on time, I was immediately refunded 10% and they actually paid additional fee's to have the items picked up and delivered to me on Saturday. That was above and beyond and is why I continue to purchase from and recommend them to everyone.

Seal Skin Covers is by far the worst customer service I have dealt with. It's unfortunate, because had they taken care of my situation, I would have ordered additional covers and help spread their business by word of mouth. I will make all efforts to ensure others are aware of how bad they are.
