I signed up for Simplify Commerce in January 2014 after running into a lot of issues signing up (their signup page was broken) After finally signing up, their suppor team told us we were ready to go! We started accepting Credit Card payments through Simplify as an alternative payment method on my already popular and established eCommerce website (WooCommerce, with a SSL Certificate correctly installed).

A week and $900 later, I noticed Simplify was not withdrawing any of my earning. I contacted them and it took team 2 days to get back to me. Apparently, they were needed more information and needed to verify that my website was secure before I could withdraw funds.

What more information did they need? They already has my SSN, EIN, Company name, and Verified Bank Account. They needed: Billing statements, Transaction details from our previous Credit Card Merchant, Payment statements and the list continued.

They also wanted to verfiy that our website and checkout was secure which made no sense since we were already accepting payments for the past week. We were also using the offical WooCommerce Simplify plugin, which wouldn't allow us to accept payment if our website wasn't secure.

Keep in mind that we had no idea they needed all of this information, nor that we wouldn't be able to withdraw payments after the 7 day threshold. We asked them specifically when we signed up if we would be able to withdraw normally and they said yes.

After learning this, we immediately took down the Simplify payment method from the live site until we could withdraw our funds. We didn't want to continue accepting payments through a merchant that wouldn't allow us to touch our money.

We thought it must have been a misunderstanding and attempted to clearify. We provided the information we could and informed them we were using their plugin and our website had an active SSL Certificate. However, the issue got worst.

Since we decline to ""reactivate"" their payment method on our live website, they decided to hold our $900 fund for 30 days. This was after a lot of emails, because they initially didn't want to give it to us at all.

30 days passed and not only are we $900 short, we're $1200 short. How? We received two chargebacks and they decided that instead of taking it out of the funds they were holding, it took it out of our bank account directly. They also directly charged us over $50 in fees on top of that.

We contacted them once again (60 days after we signed up) to understand why we hadn't received our money and why we were being charged these fees directly. They stated that the fees were a mistake and stated they would refund them, and then told us they would be holding the funds for an additional 90 days!

This is Completely unacceptable and a total scam. Simplify is the WORST payment processor we have ever run into and you should AVOID them at all cost. No business can run with a 120 day hold on payments. Don't make the same mistake we made! We're lucky we stopped accepting them after just a week, otherwise this could have ended up a lot worst.

This is a fradulent company that are playing some sort of game with different types of customers. I am not sure what they are doing but is seems fraudelent to me. you be the judge here is what happened to me.

installed woo commerece cart software on my wordpress website

used Simplift Commerece because they were free license

i signed up and was accepted.

they gave me access to the API's for my website

i processed a test transaction and it went through

i put it live for my customers

first customer transaction went through

a few days later i am looking for my money deposited, dont find it

so i emailed, they said i NOW need further autherization to process transactions

1 day later they terminated my account, no reason and blocked from my customers transaction

they say that the customer was not charged

but given this behavior i do not trust them

now i have to go to customer to explain this situation and make me look bad to them

i dont have proof my customer was refunded

they are doing NOTHING to help me NOT appear bad to MY CUSTOMER

they terminated me for NO reason

i have had a long relationship with PAYPAL so its not me

Only reason i tried them was because i switched to woocommerce and they were cheaper and said it is by MASTERCARD

im not sure if MASTERCARD is involved. i am currently pursuing a fraud case with mastercard against them and i will take it to the FBI and other authorities
