On March 18th, I signed up with Singleplatform.com for 1 month of web promotion and advertising help for my videography company. After talking wtih their salesman Paul he had shown me the benefit that their company would offer my business; listing my videography package pricing on my current listings and overall making it easier for my clients to contact me and learn about my prices.
They require your monthly payment of $79 upfront and then begin getting your account ready. On March 26th I received an email that said I'd been published so I went to my account to view my updated yelp and other search destiniations. There was no difference in how my listings looked except the addition of an easier ""Call this business"" button. No listings of vital package prices and they added me to search engines that no one has even heard of or used on a daily basis.
They're very good at selling you on their product, but have found a way to deliver something to you so they can collect your money, but not actually do your business any good, or even deliver on what you paid for in the first place.Upon emailing them saying that I wanted to cancel my account and get a refund, and that this service is not what I was promised. It took a few days to get any kind of response. And when I did get a response it was unclear as to what had actually been done on their end.
At no time did they try to remedy the situation and actually do what they had promised in the sales pitch.
After multiple emails and calls, a week and half later I finally was able to get them to cancel my account, but was then informed that no refunds were given out by this company.
I tried to explain that this was bad business practice and that if someone buys something at a company and finds out they weren't given what they ordered, they are allowed to return it, and get a refund. Angela informed me that this was not the company's policy and that there is nothing her or anyone from their company could do for me. Not even a partial refund could be issued, and they literally did nothing to improve my online presence.
It is a complete waste of money, you may as well light $79 on fire and film it, post it to youtube and you'll probably get more hits on your business than if you give them your money.
Save yourself the time and effort and do some network marketing with people in your area! It's amazing that criminals like Singleplatform get to run their business with no consequences, while screwing over their clients, and taking money out of their pockets while sitting on their butts and refusing to work with a customer's request.
