The reason I'm writing this report is so this hopefully doesn't happen to another Sleep Over Rover host again. I gave them every chance to rectify the situation, but they did not---even after the Founders, TIna Myers and Maggie Brown, promised me they would provide to me an accounting of all the mistakes they made from the beginning and what protocols they would put into place to prevent another horrid experience for a host willing to pet sit for dogs. The COO is Brent Turner and he also promised a full accounting, but then reneged. If you look at his profile on LinkedIn it shows that prior to Rover.com he spent 4 years "working" as the Chariman of the Board for Real Escape from the Sex Trade. However, this is not a paid position. I know for myslef that he's a liar.
My own pet ended up with a $500 vet bill a week later because of the stress the 50 lb dog they placed with me as a host caused. Be warned--do not fall for their scam! Also, the pet insurance they "provide" you is from a third party company and you will have to pay a $250 deductible if you need to use it. NOT WORTH IT! Avoid Sleep Over Rover and Rover.com at all costs!
