I also had taken alot of expensive items to them in August. I went back to get my money and they said that it had been the last auction and that things were not completed yet from the auction and the check would be sent to me. That never happened, then I saw some of items I had in the auction on the web page for the Gilbertsville auction. Seems a little funny to me and I know they bid on some of my items because the people that worked there told they did to get the numbers where I wanted them instead of putting a reserve on the item. Go the same response when I called saying they were not related, but they use the same auctioneer number? Called DA's off and local district office, considering filling charges for non payment and not returning the items. People who use the Gilberstville location should probally beware too! They don't seem to be on the up and up.

This was a horrible experience with this auction company. I had them empty and entire house that was an estate. Yea I did get a little money out of them. When I went to pick up my unsold items they were not there as they couldn't find them. They took all the stuff that was valuable and it never even made it to the auction. I lost thousands of dollars from this place and they stole half of the items.

Terrible stay away! Smileys too is a rip off. I recently consigned with them it took over 2 and a half months to get a check, then, the check bounced. I have not had a call or email returned. I was laughed at on the phone the first time when someone did answer.
You've been warned, do not consign with them.
Get enough people who have been cheated by them to bring a case against them in small claims court. May not get paid for the items lost(stolen) by them but at least start a legal proceeding against them. This is going to hurt my long term business with their parents business. It is a shame.
Took items in June 22nd for the July auction (before I knew about all these reports). It is now September 9th and no money, no returned goods. Last Sunday I was told to stop by this coming Sunday to pick up my check and returned items... we'll see how this plays out but at this point I'm not holding my breath. I just hope I receive the goods back that did not sell at this point. They had a great business going when they started... now it's deserted and the place is empty.. Don't waste your time...
I too now feel i should aid in helping the continueing list of consigners that have been and WILL BE ripped off by these crooks. i too have been a victem. i had found for myself that this auction was good second income since i do not have alot of income. a mutual friend and i were kinda partners in dropping off gooods for consigning. BUT! It have been about 5 months now and i and my partner have heard every excuse known too man on why i have not been paid and why allllllllllll of my items end up disapppearing. ITS RIDICULOUS! I SPEND COUNTLESS HOURS FINDING SELLABLE GOODS OR MAKING/REDOING FURNITURE. Spent my hard earned money....
ON WHAT!????? I would love to hear the answer on this. I TELL YOU ON WHAT!....... T0 aid in the gambleing habit and drug addiction those 2 crooks have! BELIEVE ME! THEY HAVE NO SHAME IN LYING TO YOUR FACE AND RUNNING RIGHT TO THE CLOSEST MINI MART TO BUY MORE TICKETS OR THE CLOSEST PERSON SELLING THEM THEIR NEXT FIX!!!!!!!! ITS NOT RIGHT. they must be held acountable for the bogus practices. outright theft by deception and overall cheating ways. i now have no other extra outlet for making money and they could care less.
they are probably sitting on my chairs right now scratching their lives away on those tickets and using my chairs to count all the stolen money they have gotten from the honest consigners. they change the rules every week on when the auction closes and just keep and take money from your checks . doesnt matter what contract you signed these crooks just do as they please. please stay away from these people unless its in a courtroom in front of a judge who is about to put them behind bars ........ WHERE THEY BELONG!!!!!

If you want to actually make money. THIS IS NOT the place to choose. This is why....... AND ITS COMPLETLY TRUE!!!!!! You will be welcomed with promises of how your items will sell well. You MIGHT even get your first check. MIGHT!
They used to be honest........ THOSE DAYS ARE COMPLETLY GONE!!!! In the last few months. A few ....... NOW ALLLLLLLLL people have gotten screwed over. Noone is getting paid. Dont get me wrong you will receive a check in your hand. It WILL BOUNCE!!!!!! When you go back to complain. They will tell you ... sorry but even the employees don't receive their pay. WTF!?
Your items will disappear. You will never be paid for them... EVER!!!!! When you read your returned paper work. You have different payout amounts than what you saw bid during the auctions. Now the items you have not yet been paid for. They will tell you the items have not been picked up yet. BUT ...... They will take their commission FROM YOU AWHILE and put it right in their pockets and not tell you. Then when and if they pay you they will double dip their commision AGAIN! If you complain... YOU WILL BE SCREAMED AT. Every member of the family will gang up and scream at you. They are scam artists, fraud sellers and out right LIARS!
The auction is ran without the proper licensing or morals! It is sad for what its worth. BUT IT IS COMPLETLY TRUE! DONT BECOME A VICTIM LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!!! Be smart and ONLY go to the tues (((competitor's name redacted))). THEY ARE THE ONLY HONESTLY RAN AUCTION. Save yourself the stress. Spend your money honestly...... YOU EARNED IT!
GLEN AND LYNDA ARE THEIFS AND THEIR BUSINESS IS A RIPOFF.
For over 4 months i have been waiting to be paid for my consigned items. The last time i recieved a check they subtracted the items they claim that weren't paid for by the buyer but the employees tell me the items have been picked up and paid for. Went up the following month for the next check and was told my items didn't sell and when i asked for them back i was told they couldn't find them, i then asked about the items i wasn't paid for the prior month and was told they weren't picked up by the buyer, i than stated that the manager informed the items were picked and paid for , i was told the manager was wrong and should not have told me this. Glen and Lynda have screwed every consignor and spent the money, they are not paying out to the consignors. All employees have quit do to not being paid for over a month. One employee quit because she was being threatened by the consignors for not being paid or the items that all of a sudden disappeared. What are they doing with the money, I'll tell you what they are doing, they are going to the local wawa and putting hundreds of dollars at a time in the lottery machine, they are using the consignors money to go out and buy stuff like guns and funiture to sell at their next auction. Glen and Lynda are embezzling the money from the business to supply their gambling habits and pill popping problem. Why hasn't the auction commission shut this business down? Why hasn't the Berks county District Attorney's office investigated this business yet? They are bouncing over 60 business checks per month to their consignors. How can his father ( who is the listed auctioneer for the business ) let this continue ? How is it that Glen and Lynda have been in business for over 4 years and neither one have applied for the auctioneers license and nothing has been done about it through the PA auctioneers assoc.? How is the owner of the property allowing this to continue and not evicting this business from the property ? How can a son do this to his parents good name ?, because the son only cares about himself and could care less about his parents business and now it is affecting their business with people not wanting to consign to them as they are afraid the same thing is going to happen when the parents have to bail him out with all the unpaid or RIPPED OFF consignors.
