I called them for a eye appoinment after seeing tv ad free eye exam when buying two pair of eyeglasses for 69 dollars. when i talked with them over the phone they stated lined bifocals was 99.dollars with free eye exam.in the morning i attempted to ask everyone in the store where the 99 dollars glasses were .they all said talk to the sales assoicate ' she told me to go get exam then she would talk to me about glasses. i took my eye exam then asked about the advertised eyeglasses.she said you cannot get that deal you would have to have a coupon printed from my computer.I told her the tv ad mentioned nothing about having a coupon my buy one get one free lined bifcoals ending up costing me 268 since the 99 dollar bifocals were no way they were going to honor advertised price so you will spend more money.the wifes buy one get one free cost 535.00 these people use unethical sales and advertising tectonics to get you in the store this is my first and last time i will do business with them

False advertising , call a day ahead was told walk-ins are always excepted was never told there is a cut off. That they take walk-ins next day I went to the optical shop The next day which took me three buses to get there and walked almost 2 miles to the place was told no we are not excepting walk-ins you must come back tomorrow plus you are not told of all of the hidden charges that you must pay which include they charge you for each lens so much for their special was very disappointed and will never go back to that place again and will not give them a good reference or review once I write my review I feel they must really educate their employees in customer service.

I would give this company -10 stars if possible!

I ordered a year supply of contacts and glasses.

They were supposed to be a part of a promotion (buy contacts and get the glasses at a lesser price).

However, I have been waiting over 2 months for my contacts and have yet to get anything resolved.

Every time I call, they claim they are waiting for a response from corporate, and then it turned into a manufacturer issue. Now they claim they don't order this brand of contact lenses anymore. After three visits to the store and numerous phone calls, were they ever planning on telling me this?

After all the waiting I was fed up and asked for a full refund.

They then explained that I wouldn't get the full amount for the contacts since it was part of a promotion and I would still have to pay more for the glasses.

They offered a deal on a partial refund + a pair of sunglasses but have yet to deliver. I was also offered a pair of trial lenses until the real ones came in. When I went to pick them up, they were given to me after they had fallen on the floor where dozens of people walk everyday.

They take my money for a product that was never delivered and are still trying to charge me more? I am beginning to think that this is some sort of scam.

Called customer service who are trying to resolve the problem, but apparently there is only so much they can do. I can't get any answers from the two managers running the store and I have been lied to about a tracking number that is supposedly "en-route". Later, I was told that corporate never received my order in the first place.

I am taking my complaint to headquarters and then to the BBB.

Buyer beware, these people will scam you and pretend they don't know what's going on when you ask for a refund.

Stanton Optical had a sale - two for the price of one at 78.00. After making appointment and being seen by doctor my husband and I are informed that there was only a small selection of glasses, which would not fit either one of us,mostly childrens glasses, to choose from.

So we picked glasses that did fit us that cost more than offer. We still were getting the two for one but higherr than 78.00. more like 170.00.

Upon the appointment we were inform that the exam cost, although charged to our card, would be transfer to our cost of glasses. Another words we would get a credit of 45.00 towrds the glasses. Our receipt with invoice says No Payment Nessary and 45.00 Credit applied. However, the next day, 45.00 was deducted from our account. 45.00 twice. 90.00 dollars total.

I called Stanton Optical and let them know that I got charged the 90.00 anyway. His reply was, I got a good deal on glasses and so I am expected to pay the 90.00 dollars.

My receipts total to 500.00 dallars. That is for exam and glasses, tint of glasses, everything. My account is being charged 590.00.

500.00 was already more than what we wanted to pay or afford. We just had enough in bank to cover the 500.00. 590.00 overdrew our account. i explained this to Stanton, but they only responded with rudeness and informed me, I had no choice in the matter and no right to cancel.

I knew differently and I let them know I had every right to cancel, and;I was officially cancelling my order, because of their illegal actions. I no longer trusted them and believed, I would not get a good product. Especially after reviewing all the RipOff Reports and BBB Negative Reports. They have hundreds of complaints against them and they do nothing to resolve them.

Stanton optical overcharged my bank account. They refuse to correct the charges. My invoice and receipt clearly state my charges as 500.00 not 590.00. That is for the exam, lenses, tint of lences, etc.

We let them know 500.00 was all we could afford and really did not want to spend that much. They knew this and did not mention at any point and time that we were going to be charged for the exam. In fact we waited for a receipt upon final agreement of sale. Upon receiving the recipt and invoices they said their thank yous and we left.

Again our receipt and invoices total to 500.00 not 590.00. This is clearly a RipOff!!!!!

I purchased two pair of glasse from Stanton Optical six monthes ago. I only need them for reading so two pr., part time six monthes. One pair just fell apart in my hand as I went to put them on!

So I go in to get something done (either fixed or replaced) and was told they could not be fixed so they had to be replaced. They charged me $11.80 for this.

This is NOT about the money! I am pissed that I was charged to replace their POOR quality product.

I am done with this company!

We my wife and I) visited Stanton Optical for their free eye exam and 2 for $69.99 offer. By the time we left, we had paid $700 between the two of us. We placed outr orders, but, since she really didn't require new glases, my wife decided to cancal her order ($325) and get a refund. We were told that the glasses wouldn't be ready for 3 weeks, so it should not have been a problem. She was told that since she hadn't decided within 24 hours of her order (it was about 36 hours), she could not get a refund. They told her there is a sign posted stating the 24 hour policy, but neither of us saw it, nor were we informed of it. The oly thing we were told of was the warranty on the frames. Basically, once they have your money, your out of luck. Even if your dissatisfied with the product, they will only exchange them. NO REFUNDS.
