I’m a senior disabled person who’s been advised by my doctors, to TRY to eat some really good-fresh-protein-for my health. Well, I’ve been TRYING to do that, both for my health, as well as the enjoyment of a good tuna-fish-sandwich, for years now. I used to always have to open a couple of cans of this “Chunk Light Tuna” before leaving for home, as one out of the three cans might contain some “fresh in appearance” chunk light tuna.
I’ve noticed that major hospitals purchase ONLY the giant cans of CHUNK LIGHT TUNA, and it’s obvious-why; Doctors aren’t going to accept this crap for tuna-And of course the GIANT cans cannot be as easily maneuvered by private citizen purchasers--- I can’t tell you how many times during college shopping at Alpha Beta in North ridge, CA., people came up to me and COMPLIMENTED ME for having the nerve to actually bring my own can opener, to open the can of REAL CHUNK LIGHT TUNA, so as to be SURE that was really what I was taking home with me for later. EVERYONE agreed-and this was back in the 70-s, these major fish companies ARE GETTING BY with utilizing false advertising, because the food and drug administration doen’t care to investigate them and or their product control. In essence, there never has been,a nd still isn’t, any QUALITY (INTEGRITY) or decent control; So we’re wondering, are they LOBBYING to keep this falsely advertised product lucrative for themselves ?
I’m getting awfully tired as I get older and older and the housekeeper wants more money for her time to RETURN ITEMS to the grocery store that are not adequate. I’m tired of buying TUNA labeled as being “CHUNK LIGHT TUNA ( OR/AND ALBACORE,), AND GETTING ALL THE WAY HOME to make a nice tuna sandwich, only to discover I’ve just purchased can’s of something of such poor quality, I’d have trouble even getting the cat to eat it after I pick out the bones for her. I wonder if any members of the STAR KIST TUNA (Forget Bumblebee, they’ve got a great deal apparently protecting them, allowing them to sell all kinds of dog and cat food under the title of “Chunk Light tuna”..they are ALL cat food and not of great quality.) I wonder how many EMPLOYEES OF these big tuna companies actually EAT the tuna they’re canning ? Don’t THEY like being able to SEE the tuna as they mix it with the mayo and place it on the bread ? DO THEY REALLY like spreading “fishy smelling pieces of eyeballs and darkly colored bits of refuse with what we HOPE is fish skin) on to a piece of bread, and serving this to their OWN FAMILIES? I think not-We think they know EXACTLY how to test several cans to find the ONE OUT OF FOUR cans that REALLY consists of ‘CHUNK LIGHT TUNA”...or they’d just avoid tuna totally-after knowing-first hand what they’re putting into those falsely advertised cans.

This is one lady who represents probably about ten others who get involved at the grocery store in agreement HOWELING “ WE’RE SICK OF IT TOO, BUT THERE’S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. “ THIS IS AMERICA, AND THE CORPORATIONS CAN PRODUCE ANYTHING THEY WANT and get by with over charging you. They’lll REFUND a few people’s purchases and send out a few coupons for more cat food, and pat you on the back and they know you’lll go home; because you’re a busy mom-want to make some tuna sandwiches for your kids, and don’t have allot of time to WRITE LETTERS TO TUNA CANNERIES, or the FDA. FDA doesn’t care--Companies don’t “care”, Quality and integrity don’t matter-and good luck even finding REAL TUNA ANYWHERE AT your local markets at all. Just assume it’s a can of cat food, don’t PLAN on making a “tuna casserole” or “ chunk light tuna” casserole or a sandwich, and accept it-it’s the American way we suppose. Maybe it’s a way of keeping allot of people employed, doing the wrong thing, so that many others can get paid to overlook qualities such as “freshness” and “food quality”.
This is America-we’re famous for NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM, possibly just making MORE problems--giving out little rewards and sorry notifications, while we continue to LET THESE PEOPLE CONTINUE THEIR PLYGHT AN GAMBLE, AFTER ALL, IF ONE CAN OUT OF FOUR REALLY HAS CHUNK LIGHT TUNA, and you can’t prove it without a whole vast array of grocery store managers, then you’ll never have a case. And the STINKY FLAKES that hardly even pass for a decent cat food (we’you will have to pick the bones out for the pets., sorry),
that you had to accept on a sandwich the other day--You’re just stuck accepting it. why I’ll bet even the employees at the FOOD AND DRUG ADM., don’t care that you’re paying twenty five dollars a can, just to get SIX OUNCES OF WHAT THEY SAID WAS IN the can, to begin with ? (Take my challenge-go ut and buy some “chunk light tuna” any brand---see what you find-but don’t go home, open it at the store (they know customers won’t WANT to do that-they BANK onit). See how many cans you have to open before you actually find AN ETIBLE PIECE OF FRESH LOOKING, NOT TOO DRY,NOT PACKED IN SLOP, CHUNK LIGHT TUNA. I bet the first three cans will easily CURB your desire for a tuna sandwich whatsoever.
I’d like to setup DISPLAYS AND OPEN CANS FOR THE PUBLIC IN EVERY MAJOR GROCERY STORE IN CALIFORNIA, and see what it does to the SALES of these eyeballs and tiny stinky “brewed & flavored” fish FLAKES. PEOPLE USED to band together to represent their needs-Now we’re kept so BUSY trying to make a living (and make a couple of sandwiches because we can’t afford to eat at SUBWAY every day, right ?)---that WE ARE LOSING the integrity and belief in quality and even “legitimate advertising”, just because the COMPANIES ARE SO MUCH BIGGER THAN WE ARE.

We can’t figure out why even people who work for their own companies, work for the BBB, and/or the FDA, whom have ever SEEN THESE LABLES and watched while their wives open the can to discover the cat food inside, don’t “get it?” THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING ON TOP of denying the customer the “quality article described on the can.” Please, no more refunds, please, THIS IS A MAJOR TUNA -MISLABELING problem all over the country, apparently. They make US GAMBLE (or you “allow” that to continue by process of doing nothing ABOUT it ), while they ALWAYS GET PAID THE PRICE THEY REQUIRE, regardless of what’ s actually in their cans.
