My family of 9 planed a cruise and I heard about Stephon because we worked at the Springhill, TN Saturn Corporation. He told me of his travel agency called Step Travel, said it was affordable, so I decided to book through him along with the family members. He took our reservations and was calling himself printing out all of our itenaries to take.(Unfortanately, these were not legal papers he drew up in which we did not find out until aftwr we had driven to Mobile, AL, and embarrassingly had to wait until everyone else had boarded, then the cruise manager was trying as hard as she could to get us aboard the ship.
Had I known Stephon was going to rip us off, I never would have put my family through that ordeal. It was hurtful, humiliating and embarrassing. Fortunately, we were finally approved for boarding only to be placed in the lowest of the lowest decks, meaning, we were also told by Stephon that we were going to have nice cabins---upper deck, ocean view rooms and just all-around nice!!!!!!!!Well, he lied. Well after we returned, all of my family members took his personal information to file a suit to get their money.
Then he told me that he was going to reimburse everyone's money and I believed him because he gave me mine back first, and it was a sigh of relief knowing the sisters, their spouses, and my friend was going to get their money. Well, guess what, he did not send the others NOTHING!!!At All. I was hurt by this, and only wished I had the money myself to give back to them for the mess he put us through. I was using this man because I trusted him and he is supposed to be a Child Of God! Well, God, deal with him, give him a guilty conscience to the point to where is plagued by his conning/scamming ways. I tried to forget this situation, but I was in a place of business and saw he has business cards laying around with the info: "Always There" Live Smooth Jazz for Your Occassions, and a phone number:615-498-0361, also listed on the card is his, I guess partner-Kevin Parrish.
I hate what this guy portrayed himself to be and I hate what he has done to get money from people who trusted him. I am submitting this today, May 17, 2014 because I found that card and I googled him and the very first item presented was in bold red letters: Stephon Parrish- Ripoff of honeymoon couples.UGH!!!!!!! Stephin, all i gotta say to you is if you are still ripping off people, STOP IT. It is wrong, and you need to be held accountable for what you took from honest, people who was trying to support your---African American Business.
