Studioality LLC. Reviews

  • May 22, 2015

Phillycupcake.com is the website that we want our money back on. You tell me if this site is worth 22,000 or were we part of a Churn and Burn operation. Please review there Company profile with special attention to the "People" section. This is the talent that is producing websites.

We signed a contract with company January 14,2011. Project launch date was projected to be sixteen weeks from January 14,2011. We did not launch until April 2012. Our Contract outlined the following:

Design [40 hours] Concepts, Development, Refignment-- 6,000 dollars

Production [14 hours] Design Production, HTML Code all pages-- 2,100 dollars

Programming [83 hours] Phase 1, Phase 2-- 12,600 dollars

Project Management [10 hours] Site Architecture, Project Documentation, Asset Collection, Client Management

---1,500

___________________Total Cost 22,050 [-4,050 discount]= 18,000

We were charged an additional 1,500 to cover site updates that we could not administer ourselves.

We paid this company in full.

Problems: We were advised that we would have full administrative control over our site and that it would be mobile compatible and built custom from the ground up to accommocate our customers. We lost valuable years in sales and we were advsied that this company would push traffic to our site and that you could order using your phone. This was all a lie.

We had a professional Guru in the industry evaluate our site and here were some findings:

--Bad Layout, no calls to action, really strange menu, blocky text tyopgraphy paragraphs, looks like something built in the early 2000's, Really strange picture of doll, inconsistent menu, terrible ux not up to even 2011 stamdards, images are poor quality on site, Typography is hard to read, site is not responsive, needs mor meaningful content, Not mobile friendly. This is just a few major point of the evaluation.

--We were advsied that the site we got should have cost around 4,500 if that and that there is no part of the site that is salvageable. We were shown examples of sites from 2011 and 2007 and our design and layout did not companre to those in 2007. This Guru research Studioality and was not at all impressed with the work and advised a high school student could have done this work. We were advsied that a new site with our wants and needs would not take long to build and that we should ask for our money back. We had been taken advantage of by Studioality.

Suggestions we were given by Guru: Site overhaul, content overhaul, re frame content, re build content, get marketing, build articles, content marketing plan month to month, make site user friendly, make site fully mobile responsive. The cost would be around 5,000.
