This company does know how to cheat and overbill. They are a cleaning and restoration for damage done to you house by wind, fire, water, etc. We had water damage from a split waste pipe in our kitchen sink which is locat on second level of our
house and drained down to the lower level into our bedroom. Ruined the wall and partial floor. This outfit came in and tore out all the flooring on the lower level including a large bedroom, walk in closet, dressing room and hall. Our insurance co. Travelers had made up an estimate of what the cost should be. The project mgr (Idiot) agreed that all we would have to pay would be the deductable and they would accept what the insurance would pay. They were not to tear up all the flooring, only what was needed. They did not listen and tore up and replaced all the flooring. Also had to replace part of the wallboard and also out side siding on house. Also all the carpet and padding had to be replaced. The insurance adjuster estimated it would cost around $9,000. The company screwed around so much, and we wanted to get back into the lower level, we bought the carpet and paid for it ourselves and were to get reimbursed by the insurance. This was almost two month after the pipe split. The rest of our house was a mess with all the stuff from the lower level spread everywhere. No way to live. Anyway, the outfit is billing us for $10,000 without the carpet. We are going to be out $3,000. They lied from the very first and all they could see was $ signs. They are still lying. We are having an investigator supplied by the insurance company going to investigate the whole mess. We are sure they will get all the employee that worked on the job together so they can all tell the same lies. We are going to the Contractors Board tomorrow to see what we can do. So much phony billing and double billing it is unreal.
I am sure we are going to be out $3,000. If so we are going to get our revenge by word of mouth and letters to all the agencies we can think of. Probably won't help any but will make us feel like we did something.
