My name is nikki and I got this derrick guy to move my mom. He is a good talking makes you feel like he is honest. He is not he Broke my mom's couch and love seat. He promised to come back the next day and fix the trim. We are kind people and he had his 9 year old son with him so didn't want to withhold pay. He is now ignoring our calls after doing hundreds of dollars worth of damage. My mother is a senior citizen on a fixed income. She doesn't have money to buy new things. I am her only child and tried to make this less stressful for her.
DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID GET SOMEONE ELSE TO MOVE YOU!!!!

Worst experience EVER! I have never in my life dealt with such unprofessionalism. Derrick does not know what he is doing and has absolutely no business owning a moving company. They are an absolute joke. I would NEVER in a million years recommend this company to ANYONE! They were 12 HOURS late! They were supposed to be at my house at 10AM and did not arrive until 10:45PM that night! I did not have any other choice but to use their services because I couldn't get another moving company in such short notice because I had to move out that day. He also promised that he would send 3 or 4 guys and it ended up being only 2 guys. The truck was too small so they had to make two trips even after I had emailed Derrick way in advance every single piece of furniture that was in my home. My father had to help the movers all night as well. They did not finish until 4:45AM. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSEL AND STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE GUYS AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!
These guys talk a good game, and they may have some experience, but it sure doesn't show. Derrick is the epitomy of your stereotypical used car salesman. they show up late, and give you the most outlandish excuse, on the phone while moving furniture, then about 30 minutes into the job, 2 other guys show up, and the people you assumed were moving your belongings take off, and leave you with the new guys. my medicine cabinet was pilfered through, and my prescription pain meds come up missing. the "new guys" are sub-par, to say the least, marks in the drywall, all the way down my stairwell. when i ask about this, i am told,"whats the big deal, you guys are moving out of here anyway, aren't you?",
i wanted to tell these guys to get lost right them, but i had to get my things out, and they were here, tough situation. so, the job takes a little longer than we expected, and now they want to double the initial rate??? needless to say, i told these scamming thieves to get off my property, and i called in friends and relatives to complete the job. i would hope this may have been an isolated incident; but not sure, because it almost seemed as if they were scripted. i've looked into legal dispute, but in the end, would probably just cost more money. Please dont let these guys GET you, like they did me, i have used many reputable movers from movinghelp.com since then, very bad experience with take a load off movers/// derrick and frank
