Tech Auto Reviews

  • Jul 25, 2014

I would not recommend Tech Auto. I went in for changing the oxygen sensors and an oil change. Luckily I didn't have the right oxygen sensors so only the oil change was performed. After the oil change was done the car didn't start. It was the 1st time I paid $500 for an oil change.

It turns out the connector to the crankshaft sensor was disconnected, and the crankshaft sensor was missing as well.

I wonder what happened? No really I wonder what happened. My car was able to drive to his shop, and unable to drive out after he touched it. That's just terrible.

It is my opinion that the owner of this establishment doesn't conduct his business professionally. His "due care" was insufficient as my car failed to start after he performed a basic oil change.

Anyway, I towed my car to the closest Nissan dealership. They diagnosed it as the problems I listed above. Somehow the crankshaft sensor was missing, and the other part of the sensor was disconnected. (If anyone can tell me how this happened I would love to know.)Thus the car wouldn't start. Once those problems were addressed, the car miraculously started.

One of the mechanics at the Nissan Dealership said, "Whoever did this to your car knew what they were doing." Obviously I don't have any proof that there was malicious intent there; but I still wonder.

I can't reiterate this enough, this place is terrible. Top to bottom, it's just bad. Either the owner doesn't have full control of his employees or he is complicit in their incompetence.

Please avoid at all cost.

Although I wasn't successful in getting any form of compensation from Tech Auto's work; they do have the diagnosis from the Nissan's Dealership. Thus there isn't anything that written in this review that they (the owner) isn't fully aware of or can dispute.
