Techwindow Reviews

  • Jun 22, 2015

We purchased two computers from Techwindow. The first was a Dell purchased on May 16th, 2015 and a Toshiba on June 1st, 2015. On June 6th, 2015 I contacted Mr. Moore via facebook to let him know I was having issues with the Toshiba laptop. It would get extremely hot and randomly shut off, I was also having to wiggle the power-cord to get the screen to "brighten up" and continue to charge. I was told to bring it in whenever I could since it was under warranty (he doesn't provide you with any type of receipt, warrany information etc). I told him I'd let him know if I could bring it in the next day or when I could as I have a busy schedule.

On June 17th, 2015 I contacted him again. We had a severe storm while I had been out with my father and when we returned noticed the Dell laptop would not turn on. I wasn't sure what was wrong so again I contact Mr. Moore, I was told to bring it in. June 18th, 2015 I went to techwindow with the computer, after a split second of looking at the computer was told it was a power jack issue and it was loose, that we damaged it somehow. We agreed upon me paying $50.00 and I did voice my displeasure in having to pay for something supposedly under warranty when I knew no one had as he said "tripped over the cord" or "jerked it out".

That night Mr. Moore made arrangements via facebook with me to exchange the Toshiba and would let me know when the Dell was ready. I had "unfriended" Mr. Moore due to feeling I was being taken advtange of. June 20th, 2015 I wake up to several messages from him. Telling me "we have a issue" that the Dell was damaged somehow by us and was "liquid damage", accussed us of spilling or pooring some sort of liquid onto the computer. He tells me to pick the Dell up and he would exchange the Toshiba for another Toshia so he could be done with me. Then in the messages he sends me a message about how I deleted him off facebook and that I was not allowed at his shop, he would "call the police" if I came. He refused to exchange or work on the Toshiba although in his words on SEVERAL occassions he admits and agrees the Toshiba is under warranty and WILL fix it OR exchange it. I made the comment "So you're licensed business but are refusing to honour a warranty?" I got the simple reply of "Yea, thats right". I have proof of ALL the conversations. He claims he will not honor the warranty due to me "slamming" the door closed at his shop and being "rude" and "cussing him".

Again sceen shots going all the way back to the first purchase date of May 16th, 2015 can be provided.
