Texas Litigation Services Reviews

A guy named Cal Richards kept leaving me cell phone messages saying that I was about to be served papers for two felony convictions for fraud.

I called back and then he said that his name was Richard. He proceeded to tell me that I was about to be served with papers in my court (which he couldn't name) for two felonies associated with a payday loan that I took out from my WaMU bank account and defaulted on in November 2012.

He had the last four of my social, my address and an IP address from November 2012 that he claimed was mine.

I volunteered NO additional info however I educated him that my IP address IS NOT that address (checked while on the phone with him).

Then I went to wikipedia and advised him that WaMu went bankrupt in 2009 and I NEVER had an account at WaMU and he was claiming I defaulted them in November 2012.

Then, he proceeded to tell me that my identity must have been compromised. I told him that I use LifeLock and I've also checked my credit report and I have NOTHING in there about any WaMu payday loan.

He also had my email address so I asked him to send my an email about the details. He refused saying that he couldn't as that is part of discovery or something like that.

So, I decided to play along and asked him what I could do to resolve it. He said that I owe $1081.10 and if I was interested he'd put me on hold with his lawyers to work a settlement. I said yes, waited on the phone for about 5 minutes then he came back.

He said that I could settle out of court for a payment from a credit/debit card for $515.00 now. I told him that I didn't have that now. Then he offered that I pay $275.50 on the spot and the rest in a month. I tolkd him that I didn't have it and his response "I'll give you 24 hours to get it, I'm sure that you can borrow $$ from friends and family so that you don't have to spend all the $$ for lawyer costs, etc. in court. I said that I'd call him back within 24 hours.

Next morning I went to this website and armed myself.

I called him back and told him that I'm not willing to ba a part of his scam! I cited the reports about him on repoffreports.com. He replied "well anyone can post anything on the web" and then guess what happened next... HE HUNG UP!
