The Anderson Law Firm, L.L.C. Reviews

  • Apr 8, 2015

Today I received a SPAM email from this outfit, claiming I am a "Debtor" and they are bringing legal action against me. The email is unsigned and the so-called debt is not identified.

I am writing this to point out some important defects in the notice , since there appear to be a number of victims of this firm and its tactics.

First, check out Florida's bill collection statutes. The debt is not identified, the sender is not identified, the letter threatens litigation, the letter also threatens to contact my employer, and the letter threatens bank account seizure. SAll of this is illegal under Florida law and, sine theAnderson firm is a lawfirm, the conduct is intentional. By statute, Anderson is now indebted to me in the sum of $1,000 per communication.

If you are contacted by this firm look for these errors and be prepared to file a countersuit.

This will be short and sweet. Anderson Law Firm has sent to me seveal threatening emails. The suppossed company is requesting money from me. I was to send $500 for what, I have no idea. This crap has been going on for almost two years now and I am not gong to inconvience myself for them or anyone else.

When will this mes stop? i understand that these scammmers cannot be tracked down. They use so many different numbers and go by so many different names. How are you gong to send someone an email telling them that he or she is going to be sued over the internet?

All we can continue to do is keep trace of the numbers, names , dates and times and record them on the sites for others to see ad report what he or she is going through.

Thank you for your e-mail. We really appreciate your good intentions in order to resolve the issue.

The total pending balance is $968.75, however we do have a Settlement offer available for you, if you can come up with $465.00 on or before October 15th 2014, we will consider this account as paid in full with zero balance.

Kindly confirm the above mentioned offer, so that we can suggest you the mode of payment accordingly.

Best Regards."

A very generous offer - if I had anything to settle...SCAM!!! BEWARE!

It is amazing how a law firm in Alabama has so many people with "non-southern" accents. James Campbell left me a message to call back IMMEDIATELY. If I did not, all that he could do was to "wish me luck as this unfolded or until good-bye." 10 minutes later, he called again and I took the call.

He informed me that there was a case against me and that it needed to be rectified immediately or it would be put before the courts. When I asked for a letter containing all of the information, I was informed that the only way to get anything that I was requesting was to have the case go to court and that then I would be served with all paperwork then. I tried politely to explain that legally they had to provide me with the information who, what, when, how much. I was transferred to Duane McGwyer, a paralegal.

Duane COULD tell me that the case was filed on 7/16/14 and I owed (with penalties/interest/late fees) $648.37. Then he promptly asked what credit card I wanted to use to pay it off. I told him that I would NOT be giving him ANY information about myself. I then asked him to send me something in writing and that I would contact him once I had received it. I was again informed that the only way to get anything in writing was when I was served. I told him that if he needed to serve me, then go ahead. He then tried to verify a wrong address and wrong place of employment for me to be served. He asked if the addressed were correct and I politely told him that he is the one that knows everything so he should know if they were correct or not.

Lastly, I told him to stop contacting me. We'll see how that goes.
