I had been burned by another so-called guru and thought The Filthy Riches program was different, easy enough, didn’t require a lot of money and I could do it. I thought I found a true, honest organization who would follow thru helping me to get at least one deal.
I had a thousand questions and had spent a lot of money getting set up. Then I was offered their mentoring program and was told it would "get me there faster". I would be learning from "the master" at a discount and it was Hands-on training. I traveled to South Carolina and found the seminar was not Filthy Riches but something different. It was not hands-on, but it was a class. The new UBM program required more money (I didn't have because I invested in the seminar); it required different knowledge (I wasn't prepared for), and required far more of my time to implement. My questions throughout the seminar was: Where do I get money to buy real estate? It never got answered. I tried many of the suggestions in the books and from the seminar and they didn't work.
I wrote The Larry Goins Group several emails, asking for my money back and stating why. Or if they wouldn't return my money, could they please take more time to help me step by step. It took weeks and weeks to get a response. I decided to keep trying thinking things would get better. But the Mentoring has been spotty, light and disappointing. I still don't have a deal after 8 months. I'm so upset that now I have No desire to do real estate investment. All these gurus/experts serve themselves and not their students.
