unethical billing and no customer care

I have been a client for several years, after doubling the cost for care in two years and using a package deal system to entice you for lower cost they continuously charge patients whether receiving care or not. Secondly I am a veteran under va care (va does not provide this care) so I am stuck having to pay out of pocket. I make a very modest amount of money and paying 40 bucks for three minutes on a table is ridiculous, working 5+hours to receive a few moments care. My boss also purchased a plan from them and offered me to use one her visits in which they refused me service citing the computer won't allow it. Obviously they only care about the money and not helping people who are in pain.. time to review your Hippocratic oath.

I went to the Joint in March as a first time user of Chiropractic. I selected them because I needed service on the weekend and they were open.

I asked the receptionist if the Joint accepted insurance and she said no, but they had their own plan I could purchace.

We made a verbal aggrement that I would pay for six visits over 2 months and that any additional visits would cost ninteen dollars. I signed some personal history papers and I was treated. I used the service 3 more times that month, and I was charched 19 dollars for the forth visit. After the forth visit, I experienced numbness in my legs to I did not return for any more adjustments.

I reciieved my July bank statement and noticed that the Joint had continued to remove sixty dollars from my account each month since my origenal cash payment in March. I confronted the receptionist about this, and she claimed that I signed a contract allowing them to remove money from my account indefinately. This is a lie. I expect that their MO is to sell phony insurance to unsuspecting consumers, and I suspect that the language allowing them to steal from personal bank accounts is buried in small print in the personal history document. Beware of this Scam.
