The device was broken by the defective water tool attachment. I noticed that sometimes filling the water attachment, setting it down on a flat surface, then picking it up again would cause the water to suddenly drain from the bottom. I assumed this had something to do with a seal forming between the flat bottom of the glass and the flat surface and that it wouldn't harm the device (because surely that would have been caught by now).

Alas, the attachment drained into the device one night and broke the heating element. I emailed the company and they said they would replace a device ruined by water damage one time and gave me a return number. The return number expired because I didn't have time to ship the device during the busy holiday season.

When I emailed the company again to get a new return number, however, they said that policy had changed and they would no longer provide a replacement. I argued that the new policy should not apply to an agreement made when an old policy was in place. The customer service representative I spoke with alternately then said that the policy had never changed (in direct contradiction to what he/she had said in previous correspondence), and tried to justify the company's retraction by saying that the agreement to replace the device had been made in 2014, as if that affected implementation of policy.

The Vaporblunt gets (some) credit for initially saying they would replace a unit broken by their defective product, but huge demerit for not honoring their promise and then trying to hide the issue by throwing reams of irrelevant information at me. This product was sold for almost $200 and did not work right out of the box. I sent it in and it was supposedly repaired and sent back. It still did not work. I e-mailed the company requesting a refund and was told to send it in an they will start the process. I mailed the product to the company and they did not get back to me for weeks.

I did not hear back from anyone and continued to call and e-mail, as they had my $200 product and were now not responsive. When they finally responsed they had no idea what I needed help with. After explaining the situation numerous times and waiting weeks for calls back, I still was not ever allowed to speak with management. When I finally spoke with management I was told they do not do refunds. I was not told this initially and was told to send in the product so I can get a refund.

This company is a scam. Horrible cusomer service that caused months of stress. I have never worked with such a horrible company.
