Ordered a customer Basco/Roda shower door through this location. THEY ordered the door incorrectly. Door was to be headerless with glass to glass hinges. Incorrect door was returned. Instead of ordering the RIGHT door, they decided to minimize their loss and ordered parts to make door fit.
They ordered those parts incorrectly, door was installed and a pivot hinge was silicone caulked to cast iron base as per their instructions. We called the company and told them we were unhappy with this, theythen told our plumber to drill the huinge into the cast iron base. They ordered the panels backswards. We told them this was unacceptable.
They sent their installer out, who said "why didn't they just order you the correct door?" Since the brand new cast iron base was already drilled, the only option was to keep the pivot hinge. Door was installed and we were told that the door was being comped by the door manufacturer, and that Somerville was paying the labor for the installer.
Received bill from our plumber for the cost of the first door. The one that THEY ordered wrong. When I called to inquire, I was told that someone has to pay for your shower door. I told them I was never adverse paying for the door that I wanted and initially ordered, but the one that is in my shower is not that door. I asked them where was their accountibility in all of this? They ended up reducing the bill to my plumber for half of the door which he in turn billed to me. I paid him as he shouldn't have to absorb the cost.
Horrible, horrible customer service from this location, from the salesperson all the way to the General Manager, who screamed at me when I questioned the invoice. I turned everything over to the Better Business Bureau, and possibly going to turn it over to the Attorney Generals Office in the State of Pennsylvania.
