I was assured by a CSR of Trillant Adventure Sports, that I had a reservation confirmed. After arriving realized the company never did. Refused Refund

I had several conversations with the CSR ***** ******* that afternoon about my reservation for a helicopter tour being confirmed and everything being good to go. After asking the rep several times, he assured me that I was all "good to go" with my reservation and that he would "take it from there" in setting up everything that needed to be done with the booking company. The representative even sent me a very informal email confirming my reservation time, date, and location and detailing that everything had been taken care of. I even called back into Thrillant the evening before my reservation and spoke to another representative who also confirmed that everything was "good to go".

After driving almost an hour I arrived at the location that Thrillant Adventure Sports specified for my reservation. I was told by the company that no reservation had been made in my name for the expedition and that nobody had reached out to them at all to confirm any appointments. I was unable to have the opportunity to have that company reach out to me because they never even knew I was supposed to be coming in the first place. Therefore I was also unable to reschedule my plans for that day and take advantage of what I had spent my hard earned money on.

After not being able to go on this expedition, I called in and spoke with a representative who submitted a refund request for me. I was told several times that a representative would reach out to me. I have yet to even receive a single phone call from this company after speaking with several employees, and even a manager, and all promised me the same thing. Still no call. And after calling Thrillant again about a week later to check the status of that refund I was told by another representative, *****, that the refund was denied and that I wasn't going to be able to speak with upper management who denied my refund.

All in all - I'm very disappointed, and all I want is for the $400 I spent on this reservation to be refunded by Thrillant. You see the reservation I made was for my girlfriend who I wanted to show a good time before she moved out of the country permanently. If I were notified ahead of time that the reservation was not available that day I would've made other plans and rearranged my schedule. But she is no longer in the US, nor is there any possibility that she could enjoy this expedition anymore. Due to the ball being dropped by Adventure Sports with taking my money and not making my reservation, I was denied the opportunity to even think about what else could have been done that day.

This company will not take responsibility for the mistakes it makes with it's customers. I would not recommend anyone using this agency to plan an adventure or for any services at all. - See more at: bbb.org/atlanta/business-reviews/sports-and-recreation/thrillant-adventure-sports-in-atlanta-ga-27473400/complaints#breakdown

I'm a senior citizen and I bought a $199 gift certificate for our son's Christmas present in 2013. Lee had always wanted to learn flying lessons, so he could use it for one flying lesson. No mention was ever made to me on the phone of any weight restriction. He tried several times to call Thrillant Sports and Spot Reservations to set up a date/time. Each time he was told they'd call him back but never did. Over a month later, he finally was able to speak with a person who told him he weighed too much. He's a large man, 6'4" and 292 lbs. He asked for a refund, they said no. He asked if he could transfer it, they said no. Over the next year, he tried to lose as much weight as he could, but still was not down to their required weight. Asked again for a refund, he was told no. He was also told he only the $199 certificate expires April 25, 2015. (I thought there were no expiration dates on gift certificates in California). This year, he again tried to call them numerous times & they gave him the same old song & dance of they'd return his call. No return call ever came. He kept trying and trying until finally he spoke with a gal that said maybe they could find him a dinner cruise (he lives in Bakersfield, no cruise nearby) or something else. Needless to say, she could not.

Lee told me all of the above & is working 12 hour days, so he asked if I would attempt to get something resolved on this waste of money. My husband & I don't make a lot of money, so $199 is a lot to us. I tried calling at approx 3:40 pm...was put on hold.....heard several recorded messages...waited, waited, waited,... & then a message came on that they close at 4 pm & to call back during normal business hours. I emailed twice, once on their site & once from my email. No response. I also called & left a message for customer service explaining all of these problems. Finally, approximately 3 weeks later, customer service emailed me with an authorization #. Two days later, on approx April 11, 2015, I get a call from customer service telling me the $199 certificate is transferable and they will extend it 30 days to May 25, 2015. I've searched their entire website and there is absolutley no "Thrillant Sport" that an athritic 65 yr old woman and a 67 old man with Congesstive Heart Failure would be able to participate in. Our 2 grandsons, ages 6 & 10 are too young for any of the activities. Our only other son & his wife have already sky dived, rode in a helicopter and went hot air ballooning.

So, I just got off the phone today, May 10, 2015 with Thrillant Sports, attempting for some sort of solution to this dilemna. The gal I spoke with was very rude and short with me. She just kept repeating the coices listed on their website which I already knew. I even suggested we would agree to put some money to it for a dinner in San Francisco, a horseback ride for our grandsons, a spa or facial or ??? All to no avail. With 15 days left on the expiration of the certificate, we just have to kiss the $199 goodbye. DO NOT EVER use these sites....they are a total rip off....there is NO REFUND, NO PARTIAL REFUND and a total lack of any kind of customer services. I don't care what kind of business your in, there are always going to be needed some exceptions to the rule, but not for this soul less company. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate them -0.

More like Sucksant

Nice looking web site for a hell of a scam. I received a GC for a tandem skydive in Baton Rouge, LA.

When I tried to redeem, I was told that they had no representatives in the area. I asked for a refund. I was told that my case would be sent for review and that I'd be contacted the next day. Never happened.

The second time I was told that the person I had previously spoken to had been fired and that my case was under review by a "supervisor." Again, would be contacted within 48 hrs.

Went thorough this 3x more.

Fourth call I was told that thy now HAD a company in the area and I could be booked for a skydive early April and that I'd be called back. NEVER HAPPENED!!!

Today I call and told I'm "first in line." 65 minutes later I hang up.

I'm guessing my wife is out her $300 or so.

They have numerous complaints with the Atlanta BBB. They are about to have another.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Hell

My situation was the exact same as the previous review. I made plans 2 months ahead of time. They sent me an email confirming the time and place. They even has the hot air balloon pilots name. I Drove an hour to get there. No one was there. I called the place directly and they said they had no record of me having a reservation. They literally charged me 600 dollars and I received nothing for it. Pure rage is what I felt today. It is the greatest shame that this company continues to exist even after receiving over 45+ complaints on BBB.com

Spot Reservation/Thrillant cost me dearly... They are a ripoff, do not use this company for planning any events. Trust me, they will lie and tell you they provide discounts but they will charge you double what it would cost you if you go direct. I used them for a Skydive trip and they took me, I'm still soar from bending over. They would not return my calls after I booked it and I was told that they were a rip off company by the sky dive company once I showed up for the event.

Save yourself a lot of many, around $250 in my case. I don't mind you contacting me direct and I'll let you know all the details of the deception.

I've shared this story now with hundreds of people and will continue to tell the truth about this terrible company.
