On Thursday, we went to toys r us in lancaster, Ca. The store had some WWE Wrestling rings for sale, the price was $79.99,and we wanted to purchase one for my grandson that is down syndrome. When we got to register to pay, the casier (Josh) and a female cashier told it the coldn"t sell it till May 20th. Josh then took the Item behind the register and my grandson got upset. I told them thre were about 4 or 5 other boxes on the shelf. He said they couldn"t sell it to come back May 20th. My grandson was very upset he is 16 but mentally he is 8. Josh told him again to come bach May 20th, my grandson told him told him to shut up and Josh in a very angry voice tol him NO you shut up. My child just sat on the floor crying. I had to call my husband to come from Mojave to help me try to take him out of the store. He said no more toys r us. They are mean. I was very upset, he could have reacted worse, but he has learned to hold composure. I thank god for that. I feel they should have not put the item out of the floor racks if they couldn't sell it. I would have paid 2 times the amount for the item. He is a big fan of WWE.

Do not buy gift cards from toys r us or toysrus.com!!! my husband purchased (2) $500 gift cards in 2 separate online orders on toysrus.com during the holiday season, long story short, the gift cards both had a zero balance on them, we have been contacting tru for over a month now, each time they say they are sending a new "investigation" and someone with "get back to us" and no one has ever called and nothing has been resolved.

1. When we realized the first card and subsequently the 2nd card had no balance, we immediately went on toysrus.com to look up the order number and transaction information -----all transaction information is missing, there is actually no record of the 2 transactions in question on our toysrus.com online account for either gift card order, but our other orders placed during the christmas season are there, the only ones missing are for the cards with the $0 balance.

2. The first time we called on one of the gift cards, the rep said that the situation was weird and told us that the card had been activated and then redeemed the same day, note that our cards were shipped to us and we did not recieve on the same day, so the card was redeemed before we ever received it! that speaks of inside job to me.

3. Except the very first call, when we call we are faced with resistance and general unwillingness to help and sometimes outright rudeness from the reps.

4. The reps continue to tell us each time we call that they will start a new "investigation" and someone will get back to us within several days.

5. They never get back to us on any of our 4 "investigations", even the ones that were so-called "escalated".

6. While looking on their facebook page i discovered that this has happened to someone else and i am sure there are many more.

Toys R Us should not be in the toy business. They will lead you to believe that items our little children have asked for are on their way. This keeps you from shopping somewhere else. My neice asked for Elsa the Frozen doll. My area Wal-Mart was out. They located one in a nearby town. While waiting for them to locate I found it at Toys R Us and ordered it on 12-12-14. They said it was in stock and I would get it in time for Christmas. Today I get an Email from Toys RUs that the Elsa Doll is now out of stock and it will be back in stock in January. 12-19-14 I don't need her doll in January... She thinks she getting it for Christmas! What makes this worse she just had brain surgery. How can a Toy company do this? I wished I would have just got the doll from Walking-Mart. I have ordered 90% of my Christmas online and this is the only store that pulled this on me. Do they say it's in stock just to keep you from shopping somewhere else? Then they wait to notify you that it's out of stock when it's too late to get it from somewhere else. The child still wants the toy. Do people still buy it from them? This way they are doing business for January when the items are back in stock. What a scam... I am telling you they are thinking profit and making their numbers. What am I going to do now? I trusted Toys R Us and they lied to me and now a child who just had brain surgery will not get her doll! Shame on you Toys R Us Do not trust Toys R Us with your children's, Grandchildrens Christmas presents. You will be just like me and others that I have now read about not getting their Toys R Us orders that were told they were in stock and on their way... Just to find out that they never had them to begin with.
