Tracfone deleted my old minutes AFTER re-newing my account. Talked to Tracfone representive before re-newing my account, and was told my old minutes would remain. AFTER re-acting my account and buying another full year, Tracfone deleted my old minutes. Call Tracfone back and spoke with a manager, and didn't help. Tracfone didn't care they lied. I cancel my account and asked for a refund.. I was on the phone for over an hour and ten minutes, while they PROMISE me a refund. I used Tracfone as a second phone for 4 years, and am sorry for giving a bad company my money. I am filing a complaint with the BBB, as a fraud, they PROMISE and sold one thing,, and tryed to make me take something else.

I bought a Tracfone at Walmart on June 3 for a weekend trip to a remote area so I could feel a little safer knowing that I would have a way to call for help if needed. When I tried to activate the phone online and add my airtime, there were issues getting my phone activated. So I then called the number listed in my report to set up the phone. The first time I connected to someone, she gave me codes to enter, but I got a message that they were invalid.

The Tracfone website forum sent me a link to chat with an agent. Linda, the agent spent the next half hour or so giving me more codes that were also invalid until she finally believed me when I gave her the phone's serial number. Like anyone else would be, I was curious about what serial number they thought I had, but she wouldn't tell me. After I got a valid code to activate my phone, I was dismayed to find that my minutes had not been added to my phone.

Linda told me that the airtime card I bought was sent to another phone. That phone might have been the one that had the serial number that was apparently connected to my account somehow, but who knows? She refused to tell me which number got the minutes and would not issue replacement minutes.

i have tried various other methods of trying to get the minutes I bought, including calling their call center with apparently bad reception (disconnections happened every time I thought I was close to getting this resolve), chatting with yet another agen, and even sending Facebook messages. All of them have repeated themselves: the minutes were sent to another serial number, we can't get them back, and we won't give you minutes to replace them.

If if you are of phone service, I recommend any option--including semaphore flags, smoke signals, a broken pay phone--ANYTHING but Tracfone. Once they have your money, they could care less if you have what you bought from them.

I bought a tracfone at a 7-Eleven in Buffalo New York. Then I bought some minutes a year's worth for $120, then contacted tracfone and installed minutes. 30 days later I contacted tracfone because the phone was shut down, they tell me its not a tracfone its a straight talk phone.the phone and shown it had several minutes left and 393 service days left. while speaking to my 3 or 4th representative, she was only able to give me 80 days with a credit for my years worth of minutes from tracfone. what's really going on please help!!!

I bought a track one a year ago and never used it. I tried to reactivate it online and add minutes. The online system took my minutes pin number but couldn't get the serial number to work so I called customer service. After an hour on the phone I got my phone working and it showed I had 90 minutes. Odd since I only bought 60. I called a smart phone to see what the number was and I had a new number, no surprise. I used the phone for 2 days and then it was deactivated. I called customer service 2x and finally was told my minutes were given to the person that had my old number and there was nothing they could do. They didn't assign the minutes to the phone serial number, they just picked an old number. Anyone thinking about getting a trackfone and especially reactivating one, think twice. Trackfone is a scam and they have no qualms about giving your number and minutes away to anyone. DON'T BUY TRACKFONE!

Checked the website to see if my phone was supported, entered in the MEID number and the site came back my phone was supported. I checked several times over the week to make sure before heading to Walmart to purchase the card for 2 lines with 5GB of data, At the local walmart, the purchase wa just over $60 plus taxes.

When I returned home, I created my account on the website to start the transfer from Verizon. The system accepted both phone MEID's that they will work on the system and started the process. I also had to pay an additional charge online to transfer the phones from Verizon. That charge was around $20.

Everything was all set, just needed to wait for the transfer. A few hours later, my phone stopped working on Verizon. The Total Wireless instructions said I needed to dial *22890 to activat my phone on the system. My phone wouldn't send the *22890.

The next morning I still had no phone service and called Total Wireless. After waiting and explaining the issue, they said my phone was not compatible with the system.

After a discussion, they would credit me only the transfer fees and not the amount for the prepaid service. I didn't use the system at all, not one second of the service. But, I am out of the $60+ tax!

I could understand if I used the system, but I wasn't able to use the service at all. Why should I be out the $60 when the website phone check states it would work?

Had Tracfone for primary Cell Service provider with several Analog phone with limited issues for the last couple of years. Just within 3 months I changes and upgraded to an Android phone. Problems started with this phone from the first month. Several calls to TracFones "SO CALLED" Customer Service number & every agent I spoke with they had broken English & were hard to understand. Months went by & I called every two weeks to get this NEW & Improved phone to work within my City Limit(10 mile radius of outside of City would Drop OUT).My Old Phones would work OUT OF STATE. NO resolve. Just recently as of today my 1000+ minutes of talk & text have mysteriously been Deleted. DELETED??? As I spoke to the 12 CSR of the wonderful company she kindly stated that she had no record of my Minutes & would have to call back in 72 Hours. Thee days with out my phone I think NOT!! I told them that was unacceptable & that they had to come up with another solution. The MANAGER stated that there was nothing he could do but that I had to call back on a different phone & spent another hour of my time relaying my situation to the 13th CSR. I have switched to a different carrier. SAVE YOUR MONEY & FRUSTRATION-GO WITH A CARRIER other than Tracfone.

PagePlus recently sold to Tracfone and the service is now a horrific mess, just like the standard TracFone.com nightmare. I have been with PagePlus for 7 years and never had any issues. Here is the latest, and not the first time.

I am going to refer to Stacked Pins," this means you buy a prepaid card, and added it to your account, you can add as many as you wish, and the comapnies will automatically deduct ONE each monht as your new phone service begins.

3-17-15

I checked my account to make sure everything is ok. I see in the history that there were 2 transactions on 3-3-15. I didnt do that... so I got on Live hell... I mean Live Help. I exapliend the situaiton, that didnt help, they tols be to call... a way to get brushed off.

I called 3-17-15 and spoke to a woman who had a very hard time understaning english, and speaking it..... overseas BS phone centers that are useless for Americans wanting service.

Sorry India, you get the crappy wrap for taking these crappy jobs!

I clariified the situation, was very clear in the details, and was told there is nothing they can do and the second pin is now used and it is not their fault, and I am not out of the money and the pin.

Long story short, they are ripping people off, have no way of helping, and there is nothing they will do to help people. Period. I was... am, pissed!! I was polite, I was calm, and the Indians (Not native Americans) are worthless, low balling scum taking these jobs and helping the companies in America get away with millions!!

The bottom line, PagePlusCellular.com has great rates, but TracFone is one hell of a scamming mess that nobody should have to deal with. If you use PagePlus, BUY your pins though Callingmart.com (no this is not an add for them!) as I have done for years, and ONLY buy when you can use a 5% coupon code. AND DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES add more than one puin at a time, you will be richer at the end of the day, and do everyhting possible to NEVER have to call them.

So the tips are:

Buy from CallingMart.com and use the 5% codes

DO NOT stack pins

Use the lowest plan possible, and you CAN apply a new pin at anytime, so if you run out of minutes 1 week early, call or use the LiveHell and tell them to apply the new pin NOW and it will be done.

On 3/14/15 I called & talked to a supervisor named Jordanna Ref#1109061985. After talking 1 hr. he could not fix my phone & said that he would mail me a SIM card in 3-5 days. I said that I would be leaving town to Florida early on 3/17 and need my phone. He said that he would request to have it sent 'special delivery' . I hope that I can get it on time so that I can use my phone or I will really be upset.

This company "tracfone wireless, inc" dba "straightalk" sold me an unlimited international "prepaid" calling card that "DOES NOT" call international!!!

I asked for a refund because i was unable to use their prepaid calling card and they refused to refund my purchase price of $60.00 because they said thier card is unrefundable.

I informed them that i was unable to use thier product and they continued to refuse me a refund.

I informed them that if they continue to refuse to refund my money to me that i will sue them in small claims court. they continued to refuse me my refund.

I filed a lawsuite against them in small claims court for $10,000.00 for deceptive business practices and false advertising.

After they was served a summons to come to court they had a much different attitude about what they said "no refund".

They informed me that they would indeed refund my $60.00 in order to avoid paying me $10,000.00.

Much to my reluctance to agree to just the $60.00 i did agree as I stated to them that i am not a greedy person.

They fed exed me a check for $60.00 over night.

I told them that i would file a dismissal on my case against them as soon as thier check cleared.

When thier check cleared i did file a dismissal in my case agains them, and i emailed them a copy of the dismissal.

After they received the copy i asked them to show that they are a good company and reimburse me for my time out of my job, my gas money spent to go to and from the courthouse, and all other costs included in order to acheive my refund. They refused to reimburse me anything.

Just by thier action to not do the right thing (reimburse me my total costs) has shown me that they are not a company I choose to do business with anymore.

By all rights i should have taken them to court (for $10,000.00) to show them that thier under handed way of doing business should STOP!!!

All people that are considering doing business with them should be aware of what kind of company they really are.

They will cheat whomever they can cheat and get away with it!!!

I had over 2700 minutes added back 4 months ago. This should last well over 18 months plus. I only call home when I'm out of work to see if they need anything in town. Sometimes only 20 seconds at a time. I had 2600 minutes on this phone yesterday. I went to call home and I didn't have enough airtime. I looked and it was less then a minute on the phone. I called to see where all my min. went. They see no record of me having them. WTF. I said. They couldn't see anything. They said I must of used them up. I said if you don't see anytime left in the past few days how did I use them? could wouldn't help me at all even after speaking with four diff. people. I don't know what to do but to let you all know. They said I could add time. I said why so you can "STEAL THEM FROM AGAIN AND SAY I DON'T SEE ANY RECORD OF THEM"

Coverage map shows it should work in our area. Doesn't. Compay won't give refund. Customer service sucks.

I purchased what I thought were minutes from our local convenience store as I usually do. Not until after I authorized the purchase with my debit card did I realize the clerk rang up the wrong item. Instead of purchasing 200 minutes, I paid for a double minute card, costing $49.99. However, still believing I had purchased minutes, I made several attempts to plug in the pin # to add airtime, but was told the # was invalid. Since my phone is already triple minutes, I neither need a double minute card, nor can it be installed on my phone. I checked the receipt (the transaction does not come on a card, but is printed on a register receipt). The receipt says "Double Min 49.99".

I went back to the store and was told that once a Tracfone purchase is made, no changes, exchanges or refunds can be made. All must go through Tracfone. I called Tracfone and 1st spoke with a girl in Belize. I gave her and 3 successive supervisors the pin # for the purchase (the 2nd one, Tyrell in Belize told me there was no supervisor in Tracfone that could assist me). I offered to scan and email my receipt, and requested that Tracfone convert my $49.95 payment into the corresponding value of minutes. I even went back to the store after being shut down by Tyrell, and there were no buttons he could push to make any refund or exchange for me. When I went back to the store and was unable to get compensation, I actually had to PURCHASE more minutes-60 @$19.99- just to retrieve messages and be able to use my Tracfone! Any reasonable person and/or company would consider this a considerable smack in the face.

So at this point, I'm $70.00 (49.99 + 19.99) down, with only 60 minutes to show for it. In my 3rd and 4th attempts with customer service representatives to get my purchase exchanged for minutes of the same value, I was given the same response: "As a onetime courtesy (yet another smack)", I would be given $19.99 worth-60 minutes. My 4th customer service rep verified that 200 minutes cost $39.99, but for my $49.99, she could only give me 60 minutes, along with a certain number of extra service days. Given that I have 6.2 years’ worth of service left, extra is meaningless to me. The reason I have so many service days left is because I have used Tracfone for years and am a very loyal customer. I am the type of customer who is easy to keep-to insult me and take my money with no service provided is a seriously foolish business move. I was even told to go back to the convenience store a 3rd time-to run a fool’s errand for Tracfone reps to keep me from bothering them (smack #3). After 1 hour and 18 minutes of this (on my second day of trying), I had to take my daughter to the doctor.

I had been on hold approximately the last 30 minutes of the call waiting for my 5th supervisor (smack #4). I left the house with the phone on hold. Tracfone representatives: 1- rejected my offer to send my receipt, saying that what I was telling them about the amount I paid (on receipt and which included the pin #) was untrue; 2-repeatedly rejected my request to exchange the useless double minute card for corresponding amount of minutes; 3-verified that 200 minutes cost 39.99, but only offered me 60 minutes for my 49.99; 4-ignored that I have been a loyal customer for as many years as it takes to accumulate over 6 years of service days (I would guess it has been approx. 7 years); 5-would rather I dispute the $50 payment, risking the loss of that revenue, even though adding minutes to my phone would cost Tracfone nothing, even if I had NOT paid for them; 6-would rather lose me as a customer, and all the revenues from my future purchases, which would be in the hundreds and more $s; and 7-would rather I tell people of my experience (giving a business $50 with the only service provided was to relieve me of my money and call me a liar). The sole reason I have pursued the issue through 4 representatives before being shot out into eternal hold is that I dread going out to find another phone service. None of the representatives were native English speakers, and I couldn't help but think they had no idea what I was talking about. I had to frequently ask them to repeat themselves because I couldn’t decipher what they were saying. Additionally, my own words were being echoed back to me on top of what the reps were saying, and the background noise was nearly as loud as their voices. I could not at times tell whether they were talking to me or someone next to them. One told me that my log said a previous rep had offered to compensate, but I rejected the offer.

Now, I must call the debit card company to start my dispute. I will recommend only using credit cards when dealing with Tracfone, because if one has a problem, resolution is not an assumption that can be made. It is unwise to use cash or debit with Tracfone. To behave in an ethical manner as would be expected, Tracfone would offer me 200 minutes, plus a refund of the $10 extra dollars I invested in the company, for which I have received nothing but stolen time and a hole in my wallet. I am a seriously unvalued customer who 5 representatives considered completely unworthy to assist or maintain as a client. I trusted this company to deliver service after I gave it my money, and TF honored that trust by keeping the money and slamming the door in my face. The customer service representatives behaved as if they have nothing left to lose by disposing of me and my business.

I purchased a new Tracfone to replace my old Tracfone. I was informed that both my un-used prepaid minutes and my old number could be ported from the old phone to the new one. When I checked the new phone I found they shorted me 303 minutes. When I called to complain they said they would not give me the minutes as their records did not agree with mine. My old phone shows 2414 minutes. They only gave me 2100 minutes. When I requested a supervisor I held on for 25 minutes and then got hung up on.

Newest cell phone I bought from them died (my fault) - Took old phone to be reactivated and they said no do unless I also brought dead phone in. Dead phone already in trash and gone (happened over weekend) so I couldn't bring it in. Never asked for ID etc, (I'm almost 70) just flat refused to help. So 2 or 3 days now have been without telephone. Can't afford to buy new one (that they would activate) so now I can't call police/fire /ambulance etc.

With all phone service competition, promo's etc. an unwillingness to help me unless I buy a new phone sure smells of 'RIP OFF' to me

Sold me a new phone saying it would be possible to transfer minutes off old phone to new phone. Then when I called back I had to activate old phone to transfer minutes. After activating I was told that it was impossible to transfer minutes to new phone number. Finally when talking to supervisor she transfered minutes but instead of the 2,224.4 minutes off my husbands phone she only transfered 224.4. Sad waste of 2 hours!
