TransUnion LLC Reviews

I signed up for a "free trial" which included a "one time" carge to my card. This account could be canceld via their website wihtin 7 day to stop charges. I went onto the website the following day and canceled. I noticed this morning that my bank had been charged again and that my account was overdrawn due to this charge. I called Transunion and they told me that thye would reimburse the charge but not the overdraft fees because I should have called Transunion to make sure my account had been canceled. There was nothing on the website that said I had to call and the supervisor even admitted that but still would not reimburse me. These guys are rip off artists to the fullest extent and they have several complaints against them now.

I received a free credit report. As part of this service, TransUnion automatically signed me up for their monthly credit monitoring service. The company does NOT ask you to subscribe. In fine print, it states that you are automatically enrolled and must cancel within 7 days not to be charged $17.95 per month. I tried canceling the first day. Well, I was NOT able to get through after holding for approximately 10 minutes. I'm busy with work and family, so I could not sit on the phone any longer. I forgot to call back afterwards, and was charged $17.95. NO REFUNDS. This is an absolute scam!!

Transunion widely advertise online to buy a credit report for $1. However, this is a trap to set up customer to automatically subcribe to monthly charge of $18.45 credit monitoring service. It is completely no visble area staying that there is a monthly subcribed service. There are no montly statement to my email informing the service has be provided and charged. I am carelessly didn't see this service charge in my statement over since Oct 2013. I was rip off over $100. Laywer should look into it to a lawsuite for their mislead advertisement and hiden charge.

Signed up for a $1 credit report even though credit reports should be free. They did not make it clear that I would be enrolled in a credit monitoring service. Was charged for membership fee. When I cancelled several days into the current month, they would not refund the credit charge, even for the remaining unused month. Since I did not notice the enrollment in a full credit monitoring service, I consider the practice to be deceptive. I hope that consumer protection agencies on the federal and state levels should look into this, because it may violate existing regulations. Attorneys should look into this because if others may have similar experiences.
