We have know Trent Saulters for many years and recently tried to buy a group of horses from him only to be lied to and totally ripped of. The horses he sent with us were supposed to be gentle and safe for beginners to ride. We paid with a series of post dated checks that he would put in once the horses passed inspection.
The next day as we tried out the different horses we slowly found that only one was rideable, with one being extremly old and blind. He charged us 750 per animal with several of the horses were unrideable. We called and he informed us he would replace the horses.....next week. We returned the horses to Trent Saulters and waited for a call. We waited a week and found that he had cashed all the checks for the horses we sent back to him. Once we called he said he did nothing wrong and he was not going to make the deal good. He cashed 2,100.
worth of checks for horses he had back in his custody. When we brought him the orginal horses he had with him 16 other horses but we could not choose from them. After two weeks we now have no money to buy more horse and we cannot get in touch with Trent.
This guy just got out of an extended stay in a Texas jail for check fraud and horse theft. We are now gathering the evidence to turn the case over to the local law enforcement. This guy will look you in the eye and lie right to your face.
