I bought a Troy_Built TB30R Mower on 5/8/15. Picked it up from Lowes in Columbus ,OH on 5/15/15. It mowed just perfect! That was on 5/15/15.

It is also called a 26J Mini-Rider Lawn Tractor Mower. Next time I used it was 5/31/15, I was only able to mow 1/2 of my back yard when all of a sudden, it just stopped. Next day I spent 2 and 1/2 hours trying to find out how and where to get it fixed. Lowes was no help. Was told by a person from Lowes headquarters, you need to ask for a brand new one. They probably won't allow it she said. I did, they said no, it must go to the repair shop first. The repair shop for Lowes is in Cincinnati, OH and the truck runs the first of every month and it ran this morning on 6/1/15, so I missed it . I was talking on the phone from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. they told me to bring it to there store and they would hold it for the next 1st of the month. Then they told me that it would be 5 or 6 weeks to get the problem fixed. That means ,it could take 65 days or 72 days to fix it by then Winter will be here. They also told me if it breaks down 4 times in 1 year, they will replace it for free. Since it could take 72 days times 4 times it could break down, that is 576 days. There is only 365 days in one year.

The Problem, that I had is a safety switch on the deck, to tell the motor to stop, if it thinks there is no mower shut to throw the grass away from the mower. The safety switch is on a filmsy metal bracket, that will bend when you step on the mower platform to start the mower or if it hits the ground it bends and the mower will not start until a new bracket is installed.

Since the mower is made in China and assembled only in Cleveland OH. The Warrenty for 2 years will not pay for the new $75.35 part. The part didn't break, it only bent. I bought a 2 year extended warrenty for $199.99 ,it also can't pay for the new part.

So I now have a $ 1,299.99 mower that for all pratical purposes is a piece of junk. I still have 6 more payments of $215.00 to pay for this junk.

I will never buy a Troy-Built again!!!
