TurboTax uses deceptive and misleading headlines to make consumers think they are getting a free federal tax report.
So you get to this site "" turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/free-edition.jsp and the first thing that sticks out is. ""TurboTax Federal Free Edition"". this gives the impression that you're doing your taxes for free. But after exausting all the effort to do the taxes you are hit with a fee. Two in my case, around $34 for federal and state each. Of course you are pissed that your being scammed but after putting so much work to get the taxes done some of us just pay it. Thats why they are getting away with it. Or so they think. You can go to the Bureau of Consumer Protection website and lodge a formal complaint.
