My vehicle was in a few accidents and i had it towed to this shop for repairs. The car was there for almost three weeks and during the course of the time i was making payments to the owner in excess of over 2000+ dollars in cash which was given to me from my insurance company. My insurance company also gave a list of all of the parts and items that were needed for the repair to be completed as well as came to this shop for the damage estimate. The owner Dwayne Knight assured me he ordered all of my parts to the car and the only thing he needed left to purchase was paint for $400.00. I was told to not drop the other $400.00 off until my insurance company came because a supplement may needed for additional undercarriage damage and he didn't want to paint the vehicle and put it together only to have it taken apart again to fix the extra damage. I waited 4 days and never received a call. I then received a text message 1:30am saying that my car could not be completed with no money. The next morning I called to the owner confused and asked what he was referring to because i was told not to drop the last $400.00 for paint off before the insurance company came to check on additional undercarriage damage. He then was unprofessional and began to curse at me and tell me he didn't know what my problem was and he never said that. When i repeated the entire conversation we previously had down to him, he told me he never said that and he would piece my car together without it being finished and i could come pick it up that day. I agreed with him seeing how unprofessional and unethical he was being about the situation and no longer trusted my car with his facility. I then received a message from the owner saying he wasn't putting my unfinished car together but instead putting it outside his garage with all the parts unassembled, how unprofessional. I had to get my father to call and ask him to piece my car together. The owner Dwayne told my father he wasn't going to put my car back together with the newly ordered/unpainted parts unless i gave him $200.00 more or he could finish the entire car with paint for an extra $1000.00 now. My father explained we wouldn't pay anymore that was already paid because the actual parts only came out to $950.00 and the excess funds i already gave the owner should suffice for labor costs, etc. My father eventually agreed to pay $200.00 for my car just to get it out of this man’s custody. We also asked for a receipt for all of the parts that were ordered and the cash i gave the owner. When we got there the owner did not give me a receipt of the parts ordered from the factory, he did not give me a receipt for the insurance money i paid him, and also had a vehicle club in his hand yelling and threatened my father and i of how unreasonable we were and what a hard time we had given him. After my father tried to calm him 20 minutes later we exchanged the $200.00 this time in a money order, for my vehicle. The key to my vehicle was greatly damaged and cannot be used, i have been using a spare key. I also did not receive all of the parts for my vehicle. I am still missing a washer fluid container and the right headlight was never ordered, the damaged older light is still in its place. In addition i now have to pay another car repair facility more money to paint my vehicle and fix the damage that was never corrected from ultimate auto salon.
