I’m with an Affiliate Marketing Company in business for over 8 years. We have a client looking for additional leads in the financial sector. The Sale Manager said at Velocity they specialize in financial leads and promised a 5 to 8% open rate with their e-mail list. So we went ahead and purchased in full a 3 million mail out campaign.
We also paid extra for the company to design the actual e-mail campaign using their design team. Not going to get into the rigmarole of the company how un-professional they were including the CEO. The first run of 3M we received 0 leads and less than a 1/8% open rate which is way below standard in the industry. Then the excuses from the sales manager were flying around, he said to be patient as it takes time to cycle through. After two weeks and not receiving 1 lead. My company started requesting their money back. Velocity decided to re-run the campaign again with another 3M and again not one result except for a list they provided us with fake e-mail addresses that don’t exist. So my company requested Velocity to refund half the money that we paid (I guess only fair) and their response was see you later.
Think about it…. how can you be an e-mail company send out 6 MILLION e-mails if they really did, and your client didn’t even receive 1 LEAD REALLY!!!!! Something is really wrong and I believe that they are a bunch of liars. Not a truthful company and won’t recommend this company to anyone. Velocity Marketing Software used a fraudulent tracking system along with some dirty affiliate marketing to provide a service not as described. Velocity Marketing Software took my money up front and after 2 weeks provided me with absolutely no service at all. After 3 weeks I asked for my money back because Velocity Marketing Software provided me with NOTHING but 2 fraudulent, useless "leads". I know this is hard to believe, but what Velocity Marketing Software did to me is the closest thing to a blatant home invasion robbery. No matter how many millions of emails you buy from Velocity Marketing Software, you will not have a single legitimate inquiry that actually is coherent of your service. Not only will the consumer not match your filters you require as a business, but the prospect will have NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT and claim they never saw an e-mail about ANYTHING you are describing.
As soon as I realized what Velocity Marketing Software was offering was unethical, dishonest and a lie, I approached them for a refund. They refused to give me back my money. I do not doubt that Velocity Marketing Software has some functioning parts of their business, but I implore you not to utilize them for e-mail marketing unless you have your OWN organic e-mail list.
I am absolutely sickened by the way I was treated and how the situation was handled. Velocity Marketing Software is the worst company I've ever done business with in the 7 years I've been operating. I was told many things by Velocity Marketing Software- "Please give it time, it doesn't work right away, it is too early to gauge the success of the campaign" I have been in the business for years and know how e-mail marketing works. Once you organize a campaign and it goes live, it either works or it doesn’t. The consumers either know about your product, or they don't. This will be the last time I get ripped off by an E-mail Marketing "Software Company." Velocity Marketing Software: Maybe you should stick with what you know, which is software development, instead of offering terrible marketing services to business owners that you cannot execute properly. I hope through this article I can save one person from getting ripped off, which will make the money I wasted at least have some value. There were a couple members from Velocity Software LLC that were sales representatives at the company. I know there first and last name but I am not out to destroying personal reputations.
