Viall Insurance Agency Reviews

  • Nov 17, 2014

I have had insurance threw Mr. Rick Viall Insurance agency with Ms. Ellie Blalock being my contact. I had property stolen from my home and filled an insurance claim for those items. It was very difficult to contact Auto-Owners claims adjuster Daniel Tonnis at Auto Owners insurance company. He submitted information several times but Ms. Ellie Blalock told me that it was not necessary to complete the investigation report. She made it difficult if not almost impossible to receive my reimbursement.

3 Months latter The Auto-Owners Insurance Co did not remove half of my money they removed all of it from my savings account. All total it took 7 months to receive money for property of mine that was stolen. At the settlement hearing in court for my divorce it was announced that Mr.

Rick Viall's Co would release my $2400.00. My question is why was Mr. Rick Viall Co allowed to be in charge of my money at all. Why did they have the final say so of those funds? No one has offered an explanation as of yet.

There is a complaint filed with the insurance commissure to find out that answer. When I asked Neal at Auto-Owners his reply I don’t know. When asked 2 days later it was still I don’t know. When asked him will he find out the reason, his reply I don’t know who to ask. I have no idea why it is that hard to get that answer. Maybe the commissioner’s officer will be able to provide an answer.

On Sunday the 12th of October I was forced to allow the same party in my home again. They left it in total disarray all the trash they did not want to have to deal with was left for me to clean up. My home was neat and orderly as I try to keep it before she arrived. When they left it was upside down with her trash, box springs, mattress, etc left for me to dispose of and clean up. They or a member of their party also deposited tiny shards of broken glass in every room that had carpet.

I have placed shipping blankets to cover the broken glass. I have been regularly removing shards of broken glass from my pet’s feet as well as mine. The glass particles stick to shoes and gets tracked ever where walked. In the home as well as in the garage is where it has been tracked to. That happened on the 12th of October and Auto-Owners has yet to make a decision if they are even going to replace the carpet at all. They say if The Party says they place the glass in my carpet then it would be up to them to pay for the carpet to be replaced.

Either way it needs to be replaced as well as the police department needs to investigate and file charges against the person person’s that caused the damage to my home. Meanwhile my pets and I are still exposed to a house full of broken glass which makes it very unpleasant. Hopefully something can and will be done to keep the responsible party in jail a very long time.

I was unable to report this action in person because I have been told by Mr. Rick Viall that he did not want me calling about my insurance or to even be on his property. When the 2 items stolen from me 7 months earlier I would call and the messages were never answered about my claim. Sometime calling up to 7 times a day still no call back from his staff as well as from Mr. Rick Viall himself.

All the while with Mr. Rick Viall’s and Auto-Owners Knowledge of what Ms. Ellie Blalock was doing was not only unethical but most likely illegal as well. All these statements are as they happen to me by this insurance company. Ask yourself is this the kind of people you would want to deal with. If I were Mr. Rick Viall I would question Ms. Ellie Blalock value as a employee, no matter what services she is preforming

Divorce and Insurance, X Wife is Agency Employee

Unfortunately Mr. Blalock is confusing divorce court proceedings with insurance claim handling. He is in the final stages of a divorce proceeding with a key employee in my agency who does not handle his insurance.

When a named insured breaks glass it is called disposing of property and not vandalism. Otherwise the insurance company would owe you a check every time you take out the trash. I have broken glass many times in my life. You clean out the big chunks and vacuum up the little ones and move on.

My agency, its people and myself are highly trained and act with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. Mr. Blalock's claim was reported to the carrier the same day he informed us and we coached him on what other documents would be needed (police report) so he could be prepared for the adjuster's call just like we always do.

Auto-Owners is one of the finest carriers anywhere. I have watched them time and again hand out checks in times of disaster when neighbors have not even seen the first adjuster. They are definitely who you want when the chips are down.
