My firm was contacted by one of Visible.net's telemarketers. The telemarketer said he had run an analysis on our company's website and found zero key words for our industry. He directed us to a website that had an "SEO analysis tool" in which we could type in our URL and see an analysis. From other reviews on the Internet, we learned that this is a completely bogus tool. There is no way we could have zero key words! Their salesperson also directed us to a website that he said Visible.net had optimized, and sure enough, it came up number one in a web search based on the category of business. There was just one small problem: we are a private investigation firm, and naturally we called the business to see if they were still satisfied with Visible.net's services. The owner of the company said he had never even heard of Visible.net! So, this was obviously a very dishonest sales technique--claiming customers that were never yours! I also checked Visible.net's Better Business Bureau rating: it was a big, fat F! Complaints abound on consumer review sites about this company. The only positive reviews were those which looked to be written by the company's own marketing people--those things are pretty obvious if you are a person of even average discernment. So, no, we will not be engaging this firm. Our advice: steer clear of this company and look for one that deals fairly and honestly with it customers!
