Wallace Morgan/Assurance Wirelss Tommy Smith/Wallace Morgan/Assurance Wireless PAY SCAM/ NO COMPENSATION FOR SALES SIGNUPS/MISSLEADING EMPLOYMENT New York City New York

This company is very missleading, I was hired to sign people up for ASSURANCE WIRELESS FREE Phones that you qualify for with disability or Public Assistance. I was told we would be paid $10.00 for each person we sign up for service. I was not informed until after the first week that I would not get a check for the first week I worked for 3 WEEKS! During that period other people who were told the same thing got a check on the third week after complaining about not getting paid and then were paid small checks after all the signups they did and were told that oh the cell phnes werent active yet! I find my self now after the third week in the same situation, My Pay check for 6 days 66hrs i put in and my check was 180 dollars. I was Told that all money was not on that check bc it was the 1st check. then the Next week My Pay check was 150.00 after i was told i had the best approval rate in the office By Tommy The Owner as well as others that i would be makiking 150 to 220 per day. But When i got My Check it was Only 157.00 to be exact and No one in the office had any answers as to why my check was that little bit. I was not the only one in the office with this issue. On Monday when i went back to work when all the owers and mangers would be in, No one still had any answers. All they said was there was a new system in play and that they where working on it. I was just given the run around, four differnt people and then when I asked why my direct deposit not in my account they tell me hat direct deposit system was DOWN, you can never get a straight answer from anyone at this company. They have myself and others working 12-15 hours per day spending 15 dollars a day on subway fare to work for them, it freezing cold temps just to scam all of us while tey are being paid from Assurance Wireless $125. Dollars per phone line that gets activated! I dont have an issue with that but when they are not even willing to pay me for the work I have done its way wrong, when I sign up 20-40 People a DAY!! You do the math, that is alot of money that is being taken from me, and I have to scrape to get subway money to go to work every morning at 6AM and not get home tll 8 PM and for he promise of being PAID and I m not. Other people just walk away and they get away with it. They are Selling People Dreams and just scaming them.

I will not just walk away, I want all my pay that is due to me,its not right and I will not let other peole Suffer like I am. This is notice to Wallace Morgan and Assurance Wireless that I this activity is being reported to the following agencies to include but not limited to:

New Yor State Attorney Generals Office

New York State Labor Board

Linkden- Internet Which Has Profile Of This Company

Any And All Governmet Agencies That Need To Be Notified Of The Issues At Hand Regarding The Free Cell Signup

Consumer Adv Groups

Rip Off Reports

I think it is really sad when you take people that are struggling to go out and work and use them for your personal monetary gain and not even have the decency to pay them what you promise. Everyone up the food chain there makes a check for getting us to go out and sell sell sell and we get excuses and lies about where and when we get paid.

Somebody has to do something to STOP THIS !!

Same thing happened with me.

I worked for two month and ever week i was getting 130 or 200 and i asked why am getting this much. I actually sign more then 80 people a week, they said i will get $10 per clean. If i sign 80 clean a week i should be getting $800 week. Tommy Smith was mad at employees if they don't work on Saturday. They are so misleading people by lying every time.

sales

I find this company to be one of the worst company to work for.. They would mislead you.. any one seek employment be aware that they would once they call you back they would take you in the field for the entire day without pay. Watch out for Nilda, Stewart, Neyma, and the other they are vampire. You would see a pay check they are scammer. promising to give you a better life and you can open your own company it would never happen.. belief me they are loosers.

I too was almost taken. too many scams out there.

I too was contacted by these folks passed the first interview and then was told the second interview was to work 9am to 5 pm (without pay) to see how I would do. If well might even be considered for manager training program.

So glad I checked the website and ran the company name further. I am no sucker.

When I went on my interview I was told my the receptionist I would meet Amy never happened then this guy with a European accent Tommy interviewed me. It looked like a cattle call back to back people meeting with them. I wasted my time and metrocard and résumé by going. I was told I would get a call around 5/6 Amy calls at almost 7PM saying my interview was one of the best and how she would like me to come to work at an event. The whole situation was shady even the office didnt look like an office. I looked up the company and saw other complaints thank God for the other reports. It is terrible how people are being taking for granted in this economy. I was told to come Friday morning with flat shoes and be prepared with a notebook to take notes and available till 5PM?!!

Wow these people have some nerve. I hope they get shut down and people read this before wasting their time.

Insane

This is insane. I applied last week via Careerbuilder. Red Flag #1 was that the ad said customer service. I get the call back for the job 2 days later. While speaking to the "HR Rep" I ask for a detailed job description. She completely went around the question. I get to the interview and I answer all the cliche questions and then ask about the job when I get an opportunity. No straight answer. They asked me to come into tomorrow for a second interview and be prepared to work all day. Red Flag #2 after reading this that's a no go. I'm glad a trusted my instincts and did my research. These people need to go to jail!!

Not what they say they are!

I went on interview with this company, they call said that my interview was one of the best. I came in for a second so called interview/ evaluation. They pair you up with one of there people and take you into the field for what is suppose to be for the whole day. Prior to coming in they tell you to wear business attire. So here I am in the field outside of an HR building trying to sign people up for a free phone. Problem with this I should have been told to wear slacks shirt a decent pair of shoes. The person training didn't want you to use your phone on lunch break. You are standing up all the time that you are out there, and have to come back to the office at the end of the day. you could spend $10 to $15 dollars just in travel for that day. I found the person doing the training not the most organized person to say she had been doing this for more than six months. I found this experience to be very poor uncommunicative to what you would be doing. the instructor was constantly pitching how great and top notch this company is. the need to do a better stop wasting peoples time.

Interview

I had an interview today. There was no sign on the door, no phone at the reception or office, and no computers. The office was filthy. When I walked in to the office there were 7 people waiting to be interviewed. I thought I was at a staffing firm! Aimee Wong - never met!

This company is a SCAM!!!

DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELF

MY LESSON IS TO RESEARCH THE COMPANY BEFORE THE INTERVIEW!!!

I received an email about a resume submission (that I could not locate) and was wanted for an interview. Although skeptical, an interview was scheduled and confirmed. There was no:

* monicker

* front desk phone

* structure.

As folks began to pour in to the office to speak to "Aimee Wong," a fictional character, we were hearded and left between the waiting area with about 7 seats and standing room in the hallway that had as many bodies waiting on foot as they did on chairs. The receptionist hands you a 3" x 8.5" sheet of paper which asks for your name and asks if you've ever been arrested.

It would appear that they are targeting the minority community as there were more black and hispanic folks than white/asian. There were about 20 people total while I was there and only 2 of them were white and one asian dude.

Their biggest, and only client in my opinion, is "Sprint/Assurance Wireless." The pitch is you're there because you submitted your resume for a "marketing" position (I am not a marketing person) although, the person, or in my case, young girl who entered the interview with you are kind of made to subliminally battle one another for the attention of the interviewer. Reviews have stated that you hit the street and try to get folks to sign up for a cellular account to which you receive $10 for every successful transaction (from reviews online). Prior to speaking with someone, a young woman entered the establishment, which looked like a breakdown of a movie scene where the bad guys close shop quick fast and in a hurry to avoid capture, to inquire about when she might get a paycheck, she left empty handed.

During the interview, their idea is to sell you an idea that the company is fast paced and in 18 other countries and US wide. They attempt to sell you a dream about the expansion could be you since they will need to send reps to other locations and doing so makes room for you to join to be sent nationwide as well. Leilar?, also explained that they are currently in 18 countries will be expanding into soon, while wallacemorgan.com says other countries "soon."

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR ENERGY WITH THIS PSEUDO COMPANY!

Thank you guys for this information because I had an interview today and I always look to see if it's a scam because I don't have money to waste to go to ny for nothing. And I have a college degree

Wallace Morgan is a Misleading company! I applied with Wallace Morgan via Careerbuilders.com I received a an email from Aimee Wong who stated that her manager was very impressed with my resume. So I scheduled an appointment to interview. I decided to research Wallace Morgan and came across a their very nice website. BUT! their website is very deceiving !!! They developed a excellent site making potential candidates believe they have a successful firm! Their building is located in a run down 5th floor office located at 1150 Avenues of Americas. Do not be fooled and think just because their office is located on Avenues of America that it's prestige, well it's far from even clean! the restroom are nasty ! The carpet is dirty and needs to be vacuum ! Wallace Morgan is a sales company that sells assurance wireless cell phones for people with disabilities or on welfare. I'm not saying those that are disabled or on welfare are worthless, what an saying is if you have a college degree go find a better paying job. Wallace Morgan will pay you only 8 bucks for each person you sign on with a cell phones. This job is for those who have no degree and unfortunately this is all they can do for a living. When you go in for the interview you will not be the only one there like REAL JOBS do it. There will be a line of poeple waiting to be interviewed. Some of them were not appealing looking people at all! When I asked the front desk secretary about the targered revenue of Wallace Morgan, she could not even answer it. All she said was that they sell assurance wireless cell phone. This company needs to be reported to the better business burea! If you are looking for a good paying job with benefits, Wallace morgan is not the place to go! If you have no other choice of career, then Wallace Morgan is for you, and even then it's not worth it.

Confused

I was recently interviewed by a company called Winmor USA (website: winmorusa.com) and i just wanted to do a little research on the company, so i went online and went on to find some other jobs in Craigslist NY. There i saw the job posting of Wallace Morgan, which i thought was a little weird because the job posting for Wallace Morgan and Winmor USA was pretty much the same. At first i only thought this was a coincidence, but when i further looked into it, i realised that the address given for both the companies were exactly the same:

Address: 1150 Avenue of the Americas,

5th Floor, NY, 10036

I have been called in for a second round of interview where they said i will have to spend the entire day with them. I am now a little confused, because when i search for the WinmorUsa scam i am unable to find anything, but if i relate it to Wallace Morgan its completely shady.

I soo glad I googled the company

This place is bad news. They emailed me for an interview and when I asked "Can you please tell me what position, this interview was in regards too". They didn't answer me. After asking a second time in the second corasponding email, they still didn't reply. Found the kind of fishy so I did some googling and came across this site. So happy that I won't waste my time and energy. I hope no one falls for this.

I went for an interview today for a call center position. I had found a number of complaints about this company online. But, I figured I would still go for interview practice. I met with this guy Tommy with an Irish accent, and it was just like the descripton I read about. It was a cattle call. I met with him for less than five miniutes. But if I am called back for an assessment interview, I will not go. I was supposed to meet with Aimee Wong, but she was nowhere to be seen. If you apply through Career Builders, and get an e-mail from her, do not respond!

Fie on You, Wallace Morgan!!!

Wallace Morgan. You can bet Stephanie Soto and Amy Wong are not the ladies' real names and that "Tommy whatever" is using an alias, too.

I applied to one of their ads Friday. Was supposed to interview but will now cancel after reading all of this. A word to the wise... is sufficient. I was already suspicious. Their information-less website and this site sealed their doom as far as I am concerned. I fell last year for a similar thing, a so-called security guard company that was "hiring" in the Wall Street area: cramped office, interviewer seemed like a bad actor with no education, and he/they tried to steal my driver's license while I was there.... bad news. Fortunately they did not get the license. I reported that company to various gov't agencies but I bet they are operating still. Their office was down the hall from a NY State supreme Court office. These people seem to operate with impunity. Either the government does not care or there are too many bad guys for the government to be able to get rid of them. Anyway, I will not be going for THAT interview! Thanks to all who bothered to report the shady seeming profile of the company in question.

  • Mar 20, 2015

So glad I found this site!

I just got a voicemail message from "Stephanie". Their approach was EXACTLY as everyone has described. You would think they would change the script, just for variety!! Being out of work for 7 months, I have learned to google anyone who contacts me about a job. So glad I found this site.
