Web.com Group, Inc. Reviews

In 2006 I was solicited by phone and agreed to a one month trial for a website. It was nothing special, so I cancelled the site. Now, in 2015, I discovered they have been taking $136 plus each month since the cancellation ...and of course have no record of my canceling the transaction that has amounted to nearly $14,000.

The question I ask myself is how did they get away with this for so long? The answer is age. I am age 76, in 2006 I was 69. And, with a younger wife, she has become my lifesaver and works extraordinarily long hours 7 days a week, just amazing.

And, she tells me she has repeatedly tried to get it to stop and just never could take the time away from her "job" because the cost of the time taken from her job was always greater than the sum at hand. And, due to my condition, she lovingly shielded all financial information from me, so as not to upset me.

This company is simply heartless and according to the prophesy of BC Forbes will ultimately go out of business, because of how they treat people. No matter how big and successful a company may be, if they treat other human beings shabbily, it's not a matter of if, but when they will go bankrupt, according to the great business philosopher and founder of Forbes Magazine. e.g. General Motors and others. GM was bailed out and has since revised their policies and back succeeding in business as a "new" company

To think that I am forced to forgo treatment and nutrients due to not having enough money and not able to work at this moment, while I discover that I've been ripped off by this fraudulent company, makes me cry! Because, if and when I do get this money back, I am told that I will be able to restore my health and be able to return to work.

It certainly makes me feel that the publicity about the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer due to greed is indeed accurate. David Brown the CEO of Web.com claims in an interview article that he does the right thing. Given my personal experience that's Pure NONSENSE and an obvious lie. Come on Mr. Brown, what can such behavior ever accomplish?

Web.co advertises on TV to create a free web page and perform all kinds of services on Facebook. In fact, they charge $189.95 to get started, continuously try to sell additional services i.e. Google ad specialist for additional dollars. The put up on instant webpage template but you are expected to do all the work. There is no free month.

The state you can cancel but instead bill for additional services you did not authorize. It will be up to you to fight them with your credit card issuer for your money back. They do not have an email, and their number for cancellation rings and rings. Beware of these thiefs.
