Where in the world do I even begin in regards to the bad experiences I have had at this store! Now please, let me be honest. I am the last person to be homophobic. But it is dually noted that the manager Axel Medina, is gay which is fine. For starters I am new to the SF Bay Area from Miami, FL. I have been in the SF Area since 2012. I noticed this cute little Salon/Beauty Supply and decided why not check it out! From the moment I entered the store, I found the managers behavior towards other clientage to be extremely off-putting. The Axel individual was calling people Mother-Effers and using other defamatory language that I prefer not to use. He and his girlfriend (boyfriend) treat customers like crap. The owner should fire both of them. They act as if everyone is going to steal. The arrogance of the two if them is also uncomfortable. The Demetry character tried to act as he was sweet as a slice of pie. But he then took the time to stop focusing on giving me the attention I deserved as a customer, to start calling other customers names and accusing them of stealing. Don't be tricked by his feminine, sissy like character because he is just as evil as Axel. I don't intend to ever shop at this establishment again. Sally Beauty Supply its not. How can two weird, vicious, ignorant, so-called men operate a store in this type of manner? Not to mention that my 17-year-old-son was sexually harassed in the store when he received a hair cut.
Now keep in mind, this is a 17-year-old child. But yet, these two individuals chose to make lascivious, graffic, vulgar, and obscene comments towards my son. Stating 'with a c*** that size the girls must love him'. And asking him all sorts of personal questions about his personal life. Asking him if he's had sex before, has he received oral sex before, has he experimented with 'boys'. They said these things right in my presence! It was then I said that's it we are out of here! That was during my last and final trip into the store on Feb 22, 2014. These individuals are sick and honestly I wish I could have them arrested. Not to mention they told me that they steal from the owner because he is a no good Mother-Effer. That is in their own words about their own boss. These two are so ignorant I wonder if they are on drugs. They probably are. And whatever Axel does, Demetry just stands their all feminine laughing and smiling like he is Marc Anthony or something. I considered their behavior towards me uncomfortable and racial. The Axel individual stating that if I simply wanted highlights I should just buy a wig. And I shouldn't hesitate a lot of 'White Girls' have fake hair. And that my hair was probably fake as well. He was smiling as if he was giving me a compliment. Our conversation was unpleasant. They acted as if they were better than me or something. Then the Demetry character proceed to comment in his own words 'B****** like you with breasts that big look like a stripper'. I guess a man who thinks he is a woman wouldn't know any better than to make such a childish, ignorant, comment because he knows no better I presume.
These two are absolutely pathetic. I have never heard an employee at his place of work use that many profanities, especially in the presence of minor children (my 12 year old daughter was present). If I were the owner I would fire these two quick, before they run the store even further into the ground than they already have. The only people these two respect are the gangbangers and drug dealers that loiter in the area. If they spoke with them in the manner they deal with their customers, they would beat them until they were real men. Not to mention I was insulted and told my hair was 'thin' which is rude in a place of business. Not to mention the so-called manager was talking to his other employees in such a poor manner, you would think they had a tail behind them. WHen I asked them why were they so rude they looked at me as if I had three heads. They know nothing about the products they sell, nor do they care about anything but chewing gum and acting like they don't want to be at work. They are so busy focusing on each other that they weren't even paying attention to other customers. They accused 3 people of stealing and threw them out the store. I think they are woman haters. I have several gay friends and they usually give me fashion advice, and overall are great people. But not these two low live heathens. I'm better off shopping someplace else anywhere but here. They would have treated me better if I had been a Drag Queen I guess.
I just can't get over how ignorant and bizarre they are. If you want proper customer service, a safe environment and to be treated like a real customer, DON'T SHOP HERE! I urge you to take your business someplace else. Like with normal people, not these two hot-headed, angry low lives. Its rather sad because people like them give good Hispanic men a bad name. No business is perfect, but this one is down right in the dumps! Not to mention that the products that I have purchased from this establishment are priced at exhorbitant rates. I have purchased the same items elsewhere for half the price. Calling this a beauty supply should be a violation of law. I certainly would like to think that people would do their homework on companies before shipping with them. It is lucky for us that the internet has become such a powerful took for research and information on companies to avoid such unpleasant encounters. It is truly unfortunate that people take advantage of clients and don't appreciate their business. This type of behavior is simply not acceptable and certainly won't establish the type of relationship that encourages return customers. My needs are being fulfilled elsewhere and I am 100 percent pleased! It is comforting to shop in an environment where my son is not subject to the fixation that Axel and Demetry had towards him. It pains me to think of him going through that type of experience.
