My fiance had no credit, good or bad, for many years because of a stolen identity when he was a toddler. He was a credit ghost and had to jump through hoops with our local financer to get a vehcile of his own; I didn't co-sign for him, despite my good credit, because the payments were in the mid 300s for a 20+ year old car. Nonetheless, he has so far made every payment on time and in full, for the past 12 months. He should be paid off on the loan in August of this year, but he recieved a letter today from his finance company thanking him for making his payments on time/being a good customer, but his account was bought out by some company called Westlake Financial. He was confused, and upset because from what he could research, they don't report to credit agencies, which was the very reason he suffered and worked 3+ jobs for over a year to make sure he paid 19% or more interest on a car that is slowly breaking down: so he can get credit. It's not that he had bad credit, but he literally had no credit at all.

I looked up this company and saw they had a customer service number. When I called, I had to sit through 10 minutes of advertisements -- s**t like "do you like free cruises?!" or "would you like a free cell-phone?!" and even after declining all these crazy offers, it told me that "the customer service number for your area has changed. Please call -- " and then it rattled off another number. I wrote it down, called it, and got another wave of phoney advertisements!! After declining all those, I got a recording that says "Thank you for listening to our offers! Have a wonderful day!" and disconnected...

I am very worried that his hard work is going to be for naught. I have heard awful things about this company and when their advertised phone number connects to a series of scams ( 3 nights in Vegas for just $59!! A Caribean cruise for free, just pay port fees! A rebate card worth $100!! ) I am starting to get very, very worried..

Also, shame on that Robert character who keeps shaming people and being a downright a*s to other posters! For someone who claims to not work for them, you certainly spend a great deal of time defending them! Lawyer friend or PR Rep?

Westlake Financial is a disgusting company. They will call you at work, on weekends, and during holidays, just to track you down. They are ruthless and uncaring. Do not do business with this company by all means.

Sent in our car payment and they came and repossessed are car anyway.

I called them about the situation and they hung up on me on the phone. Would not discuss it.

All I want is my car back. It has been recalled and I have the information for the recall. I want my car back. They repossessed it and I never missed a payment.

I bought a 2008 Ford Focus from Cutter Ford in Honolulu in 2009. I paid all of my installments on time until in August 2013 when to my surprise they came to reposses my car. I was devestated because I never recieved a email, certified letter or phone call to say they were going to reposses my car. This is when the nightmare began. When I tried to contact them to talk to someone I would give my information to one person, then my call would be sent to one representative to another.

All of the people who I talked to would ask the same questions then tell me to hold so that they could conect me to the proper person. There were times that I was on the phone for over an hour trying to talk to the right person. I tried to have them take the money out of my checking accout using my debit card, but they made me get a Money Gram. I felt that they were having a good time playing games with me. I heard a few of them laughing in the background when I started to get angry.

I'm a 0 percent Disabled Veteran due to PTSD and I ended up having to be put in the hospital due to how these people treated me. I tried to explain to them on numerous occasians that if I had known that I owed money, I would have paid it.

I thought that I had paid the loan off in April of 2014, when I was told that I owed an additional $ 1200.00 for repossesion.

I told them that I paid the money to get my car back and all of that was water under the bridge. I felt that I actually over paid them. One week ago I decided for my own health to pay them what they wanted. Once agaiun I had to get a moneygram instead of my debit card. I was notified that they did recieve their money, but I had to sign a letter. I tried to give the representative named Brenda my ermail over the phone my email over the phone. Yet suddenly dispite talking to her for ten minutes she couldn't understand me when I tried to give her my email. I called using a differet phone and spent another ten minutes repeating it. She told me I would recieve the letter that same day. That was four days ago and I'm still waiting.

Because of this companey my credit is destroyed. My PTSD. is out of control. I told these people that if I knew that I had missed payments that I would have payed them. They told me that they didn't have my email address yet Cutter Ford had it. They should have made sure that Westllake had it. I would not suggest dealing witgh Cutter Ford Honolulu at all. I went to Cutter Ford to talk to their Finacial Officer, but they weren't interested. Please Stay away from Westlake Finacial. Their Costumer Service is the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. They put this Veteran through share hell.

If you get approve for a car loan thru Westlake Financial Service out of Los Angeles please don't accept. They is a total rip off. They will give you FALSE information. Please believe me I got a car financial thru them and I called and told them I would be late on my payment. But by the grace of God I'm glad I didn't moneygram the payment because the day I was supposed to pay it they had the dealship where I got the car to repo it n I was only 15 DAYS behind no months.They were going to get my payment and still have the car repo and for the reason I didn't pay the payment is they keep giving the run around about the dealship was responsible for fixing the car that I had only a month. I took it to the repair shop and it was going to cost 2300 to fix which I wasn't going to pay and I only had the car a month. So westlake put it on my credit which they lied and said it was up to the dealer which was a lie. They have trained their employees to lie as Well

Whatever you do, do not get a car loan through this company. I repeat, do NOT get a car loan through this company. These people are unfair, unreasonable, liars, loansharks, and untrustworthy. They aren't willing to work with anyone who has fallen upon hard times. So what if you lost your job. They prey on people with poor credit ratings and are purely greed driven. How a company like this is able to operate is beyond me.

Their interest rates are through the roof. I understand that people with a lower credit rating are high risk, however, that does not make them bad people. You will be treated like a second class citizen should you fall on hard times and become even one month behind on your loan.

Save yourself the headache and find another lender. Westlake Financial does not deserve a single penny of hard working Americans' dollars. DO NOT get a loan through this company.

They do want to reposses your car and do everything to make this happen. Generally rude, if you are late they constantly call. I have learned their number and do not answer but when I do there is either a male thug or a distainful woman on the other end. Really, they want to reposess your can. Rates are high and I had no alternative in my present financial condition but will warn you off.

I have been lied too so much by the customer service reps, i never trust what they say. The have been telling as long as i make my payment every month they wont repo my car now i get a new agent and now they want the full amount due on my account.

From the constant calling if your one day late on your payment to posting wrong information on your credit report. Last week I traded cars and got rid of teh horrible loan and intrest rate.I called and got the pay off amoutn which was was higher than the car was worth.I qualified for a way better intrest on a loan and i was never offered a refinace amount which i thought was law if you qualified they had to. The carlot that i traded the car at overnigthed teh payoff to them they have yet to have it off my credit and insted are reporting that i am late now and one listed as being in reposession. My credit score has droped so low now i couldn't get a bag of chips on credit now due to them posting on my credit report.I tried to call them and i get that their office is closed.go figure they want your money and to destroy you beacon score but nobody to talk to to fix it. They have cost me alot in just a week or so monday i am calling the fedral consumer agaency and teh Banking Commision on them. I will have them investigatedboth fedral and state levels. North Carolina does not smile lightly on loan companys like this they will revoke there state licence if the state deams.

My auto loan was paid off by my credit union in February 2014 for estimated $13,000+; Westlake Financial Services reported to the credit bureau that my car was repossessed for the amount of $13,000+ in December 2013. However, they are so sneaky and distrustful that they reported this information to the credit bureau in March of 2014. It stressed me so bad that I almost passed out, then I contacted the company and spoke with a very nice young lady and I said to her, you must be new because I have never called and spoke to anyone this nice in over 3 ½ years that I have had this loan. She stated that she was with a service and they were trying to help Westlake Financial with their image. I explained to her this is the worst company in the world and you could never obtain your account information and pay online, there was always a problem. I believe the company did this intentionally to ensure your payments were reported late. This company needs to be shut down and sued for overcharging customers ridiculous fees.
