Do not buy the Whirlpool Quiet Partner II washing machine. It is a piece of junk. Nearly everything on it broke within two years and does not get either utensils or glasses clean. I called on it with 3 months left on our warranty, but the representaive said we had to have the original receipt...that I did not have! Consequently, we were never able to get this fixed/replaced under warranty. The moment we get an opportunity to replace it we will. I plan to let Consumer Reports and all other agencies know what a shoddy product Whirlpool makes!!

The $3000 Whirlpool French Door refrigerator had crisper drawers falling apart and drawer tracks malfunctioning within 6 months after purchase. next was the refrigerator getting warmer and warmer . It finally stopped cooling after the warranty expired. I called a service man who told me that the problem i was experencing was common. He gave me a number to call and Whirlpool covered that repair under warranty. 4 1/2 months later I began to notice that the same symptoms were again occuring. i called the same repair company who sent the same repair man. he told me that the refrigerator needed a new: ice assembly kit, Rear board, Front Display board, icing kit, Door heater dispenser and crisper board. He said that these problems were probably caused by the earlier failure where they had to change the motor, compressor and dryer. I called Whirlpool and they are refusing responsibility. Their solution is for me to give them another $ 1784.00 for a new refrigerator from them that has a list price of $3099.00 INACCEPTABLE RESPONSE

Purchased my whirlpool refrigerator 8/14/2012. On 5/13/2014 called for service because of ice buildup in bottom of freezer. Service man changed drain line. On 6/7/2014 called for service because of buildup of frost in freezer. Service people came and replaced door slides.

On 4/9/2015 called for service because the refrigerator was not getting cold and freezer was also not working. This was Easter Holiday week and I lost all food in both refrigerator and freezer. Service man told us the compressor was hot, and residue leaking in drain pan and around compressor... and no temperature in fridge.

Whirlpool refused our claim and would not do any repairs. No one contacted us regarding this denial and we were without a refrigerator for 10 days. We finally called and that is how we found out they had denied our claim. They said there was rust and corrosion around the compressor.

No where on the report we have from the service people who came to our home does it say anything about rust or corrosion. The whirlpool people i spoke to refused to hear any side of my complaint and continued to tell me they could do nothing more becuase our claim was denied.

I have a extended warranty on this refrigerator until 8/15/2018 including a food loss coverage. Because we were without a refrigerator for so long and could get no help from whirlpool we purchased a new refrigerator on 4/18/2015. I feel we were not treated fairly and cannot understand why our refrigerator could not be repaired. We are also stuck with a warranty but do not have the refrigerator any longer.

I purchased whirlpool refrigerator 3/19/14 & the LED lights went out 4/2/15. I have been trying to get repairs by local application repair person & he cannot get electrical instructions since he is not authorized dealer. I have been told that the only way to get this repair is to use whom ever they tell me I have to use. Beside all this this refrigerator show not be broken at less than 12 1/2 months

I bought an $800 Whirlpool dishwasher at the end of 2013, model WDT790SAYM. In the last week of warranty, the unit failed and stopped working altogether, with the pump making bad noises. Whirlpool sent out a technician who replaced some parts and left. A couple months later (and only a couple loads, we eat out a lot), the dishwasher started making the same noise as before and now fails to drain.

I called Whirlpool customer support and after a long conversation while being left on hold quite a while, I was informed that Whirlpool would not be standing behind their previous warranty repair and that I needed to pay them $250 to get a technician out again to fix the unit. I told them that was not acceptable to me and they offered to send out a replacement pump for free. I asked them to ship it to me and they refused, and told me the only way they'd give me the necessary part is if I paid one of their technicians for the privilege.

Since Whirlpoool failed to provide adequate customer service and failed to stand behind their product and their previous warranty repair, I'm unwilling to reward them with more money.

At this point I must take an $800 dollar loss on this dishwasher, find a way to recycle a nearly-brand-new unit, and purchase a new unit from a different brand. Whirlpool has cost me a significant amount of money, to the point that I could have someone come to my house and wash my dishes by hand for a number of years for the amount that this fiasco is costing me.

I will never purchase a Whirlpool product again.

On Dec. 23rd, 2014 my mother called Whirlpol repair to report that her ceramic, flat top range had starting beeping and sending out a letter and number error code the night before. The customer service agent gave her the phone number to a furniture store in Longview, Tx who sold and repaired Whirlpool appliances. She called it and the repairman yelled at her and told her she should not have been given the phone number, that Whirlpool is supposed to contact him.

My mother called Whirlpool back, the agent said she would contact the repairman and fax the paperwork to him, and set an appointment for Dec. 29th, 2014. Dec. 29th came and at 3pm when no repairman showed up for the 11am service time, my mother called Whirlpool back. They informed her the serviceman refused to take the job because he didn't sell her that range. My mother asked why no one called to tell her this and why another serviceman wasn't scheduled. No reason they could come up with. So Whirlpool found another repairman out of Tyler, Tx who agreed to do it. Appointment was scheduled for Jan. 6th, 2015.

Jan. 6th, 2015 now has come. No repairman. My mother calls the repairman directly. He informs her that Whirlpool called him and canceled the appointment when they realized they would be paying him to drive 2 hours one way for the appointment. So another phone call to Whirlpool to find out why no one called when they canceled the appointment and why another repairman wasn't found and scheduled. More apologizing from Whirlpool. My mother actually gets a surpervisor on the phone who says that there is no one in an approved area who can or will do the repairs so they have to put her claim into "resource" and it will be another 8 days before they can get approval to lookoutside the approved area for a repairman, but they will call her back.

I get on the phone and call whirlpool to let them know that a person going without their stove and oven for 3 weeks while it is only 10 months old and under warranty is unacceptable. I called Sears in Shreveport, La (which is only a 20 minute drive from my mother's home) and get a Whirlpool certified repairman scheduled for Jan. 15th, 2015. It tok me less than 5 minutes to do this. I called Whirlpool back and they say they will pay the claim to just let the tech that does work know it is under warranty. I warned them if they do not pay it I will hire an attorney and sue them.

Everyone should know this is how they treat their customers, especially their elderly, widows. My mother is having to pay out money to eat out at least once a day. She is 67 years ld, a widow and on a fixed income. Whirlpool has been told this. They don't care. And have offered no compensation for the problem this has caused.

I bought Kitchenaide Oven/Micro unit Model number KEMS308SSS05; SN#D20538867. It was 4 times been repaired in the 2 years 4 months since I purchased. Up until now its been under warranty, although I also purchased the extended warranty. 3 weeks ago the unit once again failed, the parts have been unavailable. I was told this week that maybe the end of December the parts could be available or they will "one time" replace the unit at a prorated amount of $1,100.00. I thought KitchenAide was the HIGH end of appliances and really expected much better service since this is the FIFTH time the unit has failed.

We purchased a whirlpool refridgerator from a local westco store, it has been a problemb from day 1 it leaks water in the ice maker area, we have had it several months, the past few days it sounds like a loud car engine running, you can hear it running from outside the house. whirlpool sends parts to our address, the repair man comes to install them he has been here 7 times, the last 2 times he said it was a bad design, that they were just throughing parts at it until the warranty exspires and didnt even open the part boxes, took them and left. westco says it whirlpool place to take care of it, and whirlpool says they will not replace it, we dont know where to turn. sorry about the form of letter, not very comp. savy. thanks allen parker( we are making payments to a bank for this fridge).

Maytag Model #MHWE201YW00/Serial #HL13112106 was purchased 9/13/11 from Home Depot. The machine began making loud noises during the spin cycle, so we contacted Maytag who then put us in contact with their contract service provider A&E Factory Service. Our first appointment on 10/23/13, the technician discovered the failed basket and subsequent worn bearings. The parts were quoted out of warranty, and at a cost of $306.72. Since the failed basket was the cause of worn bearings, I contacted Maytag and they agreed to provide the parts free of charge. At no point was I told that the parts were out of stock or on back order and an 11/12/13 appointment was scheduled. In the time between the appointments the front and rear tub outers arrived but no basket. The tech showed up on this date and of course did not have the basket to complete the repair. This tech did however confirm that the failed bearings were a result of the failed baskets and should be covered under the year’s 2-10 warranty. He also did note that the part was back ordered and someone would be in contact. I received a call, was told that the part was going to be available at the end of December, and scheduled an appointment for December 27. Tech shows up on this date and again there is no basket for the failed Maytag product. A number was given to contact Maytag directly. When contacting Maytag, they indicated that this part would no longer be available and that we would be contacted within 24 hours to be offered a prorated exchange. Four days later we received a phone call from Maytag and were offered a new machine, but at a cost of $360.00. This is not acceptable, nor does it make sense being that they were covering $436.00 in parts. We contacted the exchange department multiple times and were told that we would receive a call from a manager that could make a decision on this matter and did not. In investigaging Whirlpools website and other reports, there have been a series of recalls on similar machines and their lack of customer service seems to be the standard. All they are trying to serve is themselves and their profits.
