Wholesale Escapes Reviews

We got scammed into thinking Wholesale escapes really would buy our timeshare. The salesman said they would buy it for $5000 and use that money toward their travel program. That that is how they can offer such great benefits to their members. We ended up paying them $2400 difference. We thought that was it. Wrong! We were told it would take up to 90 days to get it transfered out of our name. This was on December 5th of 2013. Today is June 10, 2014 and it is still in our name. They don't answer phone calls. You can't ever talk to the person you are trying to call and they never return a call if you leave a message. You can get to them maybe 1 out of 20 calls. I finally go to talk to someone and was told I also had to pay another $599 to the title company and $250 for the timeshare transfer fee. Then I find out I have to continue to pay the maintenance fee for the remainder of the year. Then the title company told me Wholesale Escapes does not buy time shares. They list them for sale and nothing happens till someone wants to buy it or take it over for free. I told Prairie Dog Title Company that I had the opportunity to sell it to someone on Friday if they were not going to do anything with it. She told me "Actually we just got a contract on it. I am sending you the contract to sign today!" That was 2 weeks ago. I never got it.

My husband and I purchased the top of the line program from Wholesale Escapes to the tune of $7,294.00. Once we got home to California I tried using it and my son also did. Their pricing was not what I had expected (in a bad way). So, I booked through Wholesale Escapes and directly with the same entity a weekend getaway and a cruise.

We travel alot. I booked a room at the Venetian in Las Vegas directly using their online website and then through Wholesale Escapes. There was a tremendous difference in amenities. The hotel gave them and Wholesale Escapes never mentioned them. Wholesale Escapes also had a larger tax amount for some reason.

Then I booked a Princess cruise. Our pricing from Princess was more than $1,000.00 less than Wholesale Escapes ""best pricing. Wholesale Escapes offered us a C category room and Princess an A category room for the same time, same cruise, etc.

The above was my proof that they were a fraudulent company. I spent 1 1/2 years fighting the charges with American Express, then they stopped allowing me to file a dispute. My husband then told me that the City of Charleston and the state of South Carolina are trying to put them out of business. I contacted them and sent them my 80+ pages of proof of fraudulent practices (included all Wholesale Escapes paperwork, emails, my trips above, etc. ). The same paperwork I sent to American Express more than 6 or 7 times but no one at American Express ever read any of it.

Anyway, within about 2-3 months we received a check for our entire balance back from Wholesale Escapes attorney's office. I crossed out the section of not being able to write, etc. about it. My husband always spoke to them, they never called me. Therefore I was never obligated not to talk, speak or write about it. This is my first posting though. I am very busy at home, work etc.

I do have a copy of the check, etc.

My message to everyone is to make a strong case against them and go for the jugular as they did to us. All we ever wanted was our money back. Even though there is no recision rights in South Carolina regarding certain kinds of contracts, a contract made fraudulently in never a valid contract.

Predators that lure you in with free attraction tickets. The lies begin immediately. Rep Janie proceeded to look us in the eyes and tell us we could get hotels 1/2 off, and many more lies about travel savings. Then you get to Michael Dulaney's presentation and he expands the lies, convincing you will stay at timeshare resorts for weekly rates of as little as $199, huge worldwide inventory, guaranty lowest hotel prices and bundles are cheapest anywhere, BBB A+, etc. Every aweful report you read about WE is true and worse. Finally Serena Reann VonAllan puts the final nail in your coffin, promising if you have any issues with the memberships she would personally take care of you. She will absolutely NEVER respond to you after first contact when she assures you she will handle your problem and get you a refund. If you get scammed into this, you will only realize these deceptful theives have scammed you when you receive your email link to their travel site. They do this so time will pass before you can start the process to stop payments. They cause great financial and emotional burdens.

File complaints immediately with every consumer/government/legal/credit card agency you can. They believe by giving people the run around, we will let it go. We can not continue to allow them to take advantage of others. We need to exchange ideas on how to stop these demons.
