Wizard Wood Wands Reviews

  • Jul 17, 2014

About four or so years ago (probably a bit more because I think the order was for a present) I placed an order of a wand for my son. It was before Christmas so I assumed there would be a bit of a wait, busy season and all. Well a few weeks turned into more than a few months, about five or six if I recall. I had e-mailed the owner to ask what the problems were and at that point he was e-maling back and making excuses, about being busy and there may have been one about getting the right kind of wood, it's been so long I don't completely remember.

Not much later it was at the point where I just gave up, after all it was only thirty dollars, and having a unique wand for my son (who collects wands) would have been amazing, but instead we just bought "authentic" Harry Potter wands from the WB store, and other wands around town. In the interim I'm sure he's forgotten about it, after all I forgot the wand he designed but every once in a while I get bothered by the fact that there was no follow through or refund. At one point I recieved an e-mail (I'm sure it was sent to all the angry customers). It tried to explain the problems with production of wands with just one person, how they all are special...and so on. And it ended by pleading not to take him to the BBB (which I hadn't thought of until then - but have since done). That e-mail came at least two years after my order - well after I'd let it go, even after my divorce. I forwarded it to my ex-wife and she called me up and we both got a good laugh out of it.

Anyways like I said, that was just over four years ago. Due to my divorce I have a new bank account, and I've moved, and I no longer have any invocice number or design records (because I trusted his e-mails). I did have a special folder for them on my laptop, but come on... how long do you really hold onto something like that before you delete it.

So why did I wait so long to actually write this report? Well I was cleaning out my e-mail address when I found the one of Wizard Wood Wands and knew I'd given up all hope (of course). And my son has a handful of wand and swords (he's 12), he really doesn't need another one, but I would like it because it's something that he designed, (or at the very least my money back). But primarily it's because I'm hoping someone will read this before they buy one for/with their child and be left completely disapointmented. Not only is it horrible trying to explain the bad things and people in life to children, but it's that much worse if you're taking away their magic.
