World Class Heating and Cooling, an agent from their telemarketing office: Bait & Switch, Total Scam on Homeowners. An agent from WCHC called me on the phone several times before I agreed to their solicitation of a 30 point checkup on my AC system. I finally agreed only because I wanted to have my Ducting checked because previous checkup of the AC system from another company indicated a leak in the ducting system. When they arrived at my house, after checking the pressure from the compressor, they told me that my compressor does not work. I either have to fix it or buy a new one and it would cost well over $2000.00 to fix it and a lot more to buy a new one. I was shocked at this because previous inspector from another company did not mention anything about a broken compressor on my AC system plus the AC was cooling my house efficiently. My knowledge of AC system from working on my car AC is, if the compressor did not work, it would not cool at all, but my AC is blowing cold air.
So I told them I needed a second opinion and at that point they charged me $29.00 and left, leaving me with my ducting not checked as we agreed upon. They claimed that when I said I was going to get second opinion that the company who was to check my compressor can also check the ducting system. I only agreed to have a 30 point checkup because I wanted them to check my ducting system and the agent whom I spoke with noted this on the invoice but it was not done at all. The salesmen tried to push me into a $2000 repair. After doing more research on this company. They always come out and find something wrong with the AC unit. This is the scam. The salesmen makes a 10% commission, the telemarketer makes a commission, and the owner of the company makes a ton of money due to the repair does not even cost thousands to do. It's a SCAM I have found out they have many BBB problems.
