We received a form for free service to list our business number , we thoght it was free service as indidcated on there form. After 2 months of sending that form we started receiving invoices for 100's of dollars for some service that we don't even know of .

They are scamming us with useless invoices that has no service related to them and are threating to go to collection, which i really don't care because we never signed up for any service that was $400.

Please stay away from these scam Artists. I hope some agaency needs to look into there practice and shut them down for harrasing small businesses .

I was sent a letter in the mail that is the same exact letter that is seen with similar yellow pages look a like complaints. The letter is one is addressed by National Yellow Pages and is addressed to you the customer (most likely small business customer). It has a big bold strip that has PLEASE MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CORRECTIONS BELOW. Below will be listed your information and it will have most of it correct but there will be something that is incorrect. In my case the phone number was incorrect. When you read the bottom it says that this is not a bill or invoice for services it is only a solicitation for services. Upon receiving the first bill I was shocked. I was charged 361.90 for these services that I only thought I was correcting. They will send you the copy of the bill that you signed and in the fine print it states nothing of the details that you signed up for nor does it explain where your information will be posted, how to edit, etc. In review of the rest of the bill I saw a phone number in which I called and left a voicemail with no call back. A day later I was looking at the bill again and noticed a website. I went on the website and typed in my information and hit please cancel and close my account. The account then refreshed on the page and showed a zero balance.

About a month later I received a second bill for about the same amount again! I called the phone number listed and I reached a customer resolutions supervisor and he stated that their company has no website and there is no way that I could go online and cancel services. Also in addition there is no information on their computers about me calling in at all. He said he would resolve the late fees but I will still be charged for services. I told him I have no idea where my information was listed nor did I have any idea that I agreed to pay for this. I pleaded with him to assist me in dropping the charges and he said no. I told him that we were a new business and we could not afford unknown charges like this and he said I will notate your account and you will be sent to collections if you do not handle this today.

With a large focus on google analytics for small businesses there is an increase in the amount of companies that will list your business with or without your knowledge with the incorrect information and they demand money to change the information. If you don't pay them they won't change it and you will drop in google rank. If you do change your information you are held hostage by companies like this that basically either steal your money from you or threaten you with collection companies. Mostly all of the same complaints about this are new businesses that are going through the stress of trying to cover all of their bases to get off on the right foot and these people prey on them. This is not right or ethical at all!

Hands down YP Ad Solutions, under the leadership of John (Andy) Stann 314-518-4084 is the most deceitful of any company we have done business with. We are small business owners in St Louis, Missouri. Because YP failed to produce anywhere near the number of leads they claimed they could with their “Mega Zone” and “Levers and Pulleys” shell game, we had informed YP.com that we had no intentions of renewing when our salesman, Mark Kennon 314-882-6275 and Andy Stann insisted on meeting with us to present their latest scam. The previous year’s scam was failing miserably, Andy Stann and Mark Kennon did not deny that and as they should, they did agree to compensate us for the documented poor performance as they had done periodically during the campaign. They also promised that they would still provide the promised leads even if it took into the next ad campaign. We felt with such promises, their willingness to rework our ad (that they felt was the main reason our previous campaign was unsuccessful) and an additional ad, supposedly at a drastic discount that we would sign up one last time. We agreed to try another year of print ads in their obsolete Yellow Pages. It didn’t take too long to realize we had been completely scammed once again! Andy Stann and Mark Kennon were already refusing to keep their promises from the previous campaign prior to the new book hitting the streets. When we were sent the additional ad, we quickly noticed that the phone number was incorrect and that the ad was actually cut off mid-sentence. We went over the obvious mistakes on the phone with one of the many, many people we had to contact because our salesman, Mark Kennon could not be reached. We hoped the issue was taken care of though we never received a corrected hard copy. We also asked to proof the “new and improved ad” they were going to provide- it never arrived. We were never allowed to proof our expensive ad. Not until we received the book did we see that not only did they publish the additional ad without the corrections they published our OLD ad again (the ad they attributed to the previous campaign’s dismal performance) with the wrong phone number as well. Just when we couldn’t believe our YP experience couldn’t get any worse THEY ACTUALL WANT US TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES! We continue to be surprised that everyone that we talk to at YP seem extremely confused as to why we wouldn’t be willing to pay for the broken promises and the incorrect ads. Incorrect ads must happen frequently because according to their very tiny print contract just because they print a completely wrong ad doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay for it! They actually have addressed this in their contract! One woman from YP has been calling us about the outstanding balance for some time now and addresses us by some other name everytime- they can’t even keep our names straight! We are actually getting calls from a collection agency and have been told a lawsuit is coming.

Yellow Page Directories In Irving, TX Is A Scam!!!

I recieved a piece of mail which states, "This is not a bill". It claims to be from Yellow Pages Directories. The page says nothing about any charges and instead just asks to verify the business information or to change it. Since the information is the same information I had on yp.com I verified it and sent it in happily confirming my address.

Then came the fun part... I start getting letters asking me for money for this ad. I can't find the ad. They have no website. They had no email address. (In retrospect I feel very foolish to have not seen any of this information but you just sort of ASSUME that the company is going to have that). The company now wants to charge me $298.00........... PER QUARTER!!! The actual piece of paper that you sign has no billing charges mentioned unless you want priority listing ($30.00 per Quarter) and/ or bold listing (15.00 per quarter). There is no mention of money anywhere on this page. The company keeps sending me letters and is now trying to add late charges to the money.

Hello, Hello, Hello Where is My Ad???

Do a search on Google for "Yellow Page Directories in Irvine, TX." (Without the quotes) and you will see that they have no website. They have no physical location, and no publicly listed telephone number. What yellow page directories would not have a public telephone number????? The name Yellow Page Directories and The logo used make this look like the company was a part of the yellow pages. They are not part of the yellow pages. I dont believe that any such listing actually exists other than the ad which I had already placed on yp.com. Stay away from this company. I'm prepping for something stupid like them trying to make me go to court in some faw away state. If I do end up in court I am bringing in a copy of exactly what I signed and I will countersue for travel expenses and lost business time.
