Awhile back I received a charge 01/29 360.00 ABC FINANCIAL CLUBCHARGE for a Trainer fee. However I hadn't been using a trainer for MONTHS. I had the trainer cancelled months prior, and never received a bill, until January 29th. I went into my local youfit and requested a refund and after a lot of back and forth nothing ever got resolved. They told me that someone must have frozen my account when I asked to cancel with my trainer. Why would you freeze it?!!!! I immediately went and Closed my bank account because I was furious about this, and still want my refund for something I had canceled months prior and NEVER was charged for until one random month. Now to top it all off, I get a letter in the mail today saying I owe 192 dollars in back fees for monthly charges that never went into effect?! The only thing I can think of is, that when I closed my account, I mistakingly didn't transfer my monthly subscription to a new bank account. But how can it be 192 dollars?! When it was only a few months ago. This is absolutely ridiculous! I never received a letter in the mail notifying me about this issue. Nothing. I've called several times and emailed their corporate office complaining. Have yet to get a response or call back! Essentially I first get charged $360 for a trainer fee that I hadn't used in MONTHS, and then get charged 192 dollars in monthly fee charges. Which I HAD to close my bank account in fear of being CHARGED AGAIN. When I was told the trainer was cancelled months prior and never got a charge until randomly one DAY. I've spoken to the manager several times at my local youfit and never got anything resolved. I have no idea what to do now. I want it resolved, and immediately cancel my membership.

the worst gym in the world.

These people are big liars...they sent to me a letter from a collection agency and I just went to that gym one day for information. They dont have pool, they don't have a sauna and they have rude workers. I didn't enrolled. Anyway and I don't know how now they say I signed a contract with them and I owe 300 dollars if I have never been there and I didn't sign any contract. Their advertisement is not conminment, month to month, no obligations. So. Why they are collecting money from.me?/crazy people, liars...don't enroll to that gym. And that collection agency have the worse workers in the world. Aldous and associates. Assholes.

This place is a total rip off! I cancelled my membership on November 3rd, 2014. I was told it was cancelled and no additional funds were due and no additional funds would be taken from my checking account. On December 19Th, they withdrew $42.79 from my account,. I went back into the club on that same day and spoke with Alex, she called the manager and the manager told her she would check into this and call me. That call never came in. Then on December 22, 2014, they took another $21.39 from my account thus causing overdraft fees to be imposed against my account. I called them again and I spoke with the manager (kat) and she stated she would check into this and call me back. She called me back and stated that they did cancel but not until yesterday and they would waive the cancellation fee for the inconvenience. That is nice but what about the $64.18?? and the additional $80.00 in overdraft fees they caused!?

I went to Youfit gym for 4 days and each time I was there at gym the staff was very very rude to me. On the 5th day I called them to cancel membership the gym wanted me to come in and give them another 10 dollars and another month worth of fees. I told them I wasnt even in phoenix to do this I have tried contacting the manager and even the regional manager still no sucess at this. it is now going on 3 months and I am still recieving txts from them and calls from the call center, I have allready had to change my bank account info because of this which has cost me time and money and still no success at contacting anyone to resolve this.

Youfit continued billing me after I canceled my membership and paid $25 cancelation fee. 9 months later I get a letter from collection agency for unpaid balance. I sent proof of cancelation (from 9 months ago) and they advised it was a different account number and will now report to my credit bureau for non payment. I only had one account with youfit and haven't been back since canceling. It seems like this happens often based on other feedback I have read.

You fit advertisement states that they are a month to month contract. Any other month to month contract I have had means if I cannot pay that month I cannot utilize the services. I was debited from my account for 2 months and a annual fee. Not understanding what happened, I went in to cancel my membership and I was not able to cancel until some more fees were paid.

I went with a friend who had been attending and signed a contract: big mistake. I opted to pay $20 a month in order to bring a friend. After about half a year of no one ever bothering to join me as a guest I approached the managers to change my membership to the $10 a month having explained that the extra cost wasn't justifiable. I didn't even want a refund for the previous months. They flat out refused. I called the corporate offices and they basically laughed in my face. I stopped going and even had to go really out of my way to prevent them from charging my account any more. It's not about the money, it's about the spirit of doing business. If you're not willing to renegotiate when someone is obviously not using something and then tell them too bad then it's clear you view your customers as a source of money to be sihponed off of. I've even read that the chain refused to stop a contract for a woman who broke her leg. I can afford to pay off the remaining debt but won't so with this nonsense being on my credit I will simply and endlessly raise hell until they resolve this. I have sense moved on to a non-contract gym, pay $10 a month and it's month-to-month. When I went to YouFit they wouldn't let me keep my motorcycle helmet at the desk and their lockers were too small. When I went to my new gym they actively asked me without me initiating anything, a COMPLETE 180 degree turn around on customer service (and their lockers are large enough!) If YouFit had decided to lower the rate to $10 I would have continued working out there and maybe even for another year or two but they lost out, got blocked, lost ALL the remaining money and the longer it takes to clear this illegitimate debt the more pressure I'll put on until they relent. Hint: I will not relent.

YouFit Health Clubs YouFit will not cancel my membership. On the same day they charged my bank account with an annual membership I called them to cancel. They told me I would have to pay a cancellation fee of $10 plus the annual membership amount. The Manager "Dalton" was not helpful and when I asked for the number to their corporate office he said it wasn't available. I went online and found the number and called their office and all they did was called him and requested he call me again. Without any help from anyone in this company, I called my bank and disputed the charge and had my bank account lock them out. Yesterday I received a call from the Accounting Department stating my account was past due and I explained the situation and they told me I needed to go to the gym and fill out a cancellation form. I called back to the gym in Tampa and after 3 phone calls I managed to get Dalton on the phone. He said that the only way to cancel my membership was to pay the annual fee plus the monthly fee of $10 and then he said I only have a month to month membership. Okay, this makes no sense. This company is committing fraud, they are selling monthly membership for $10 and charging my bank account for $16 plus they are stating that I don't have an annual membership but they charged my account for two annual memberships. In Florida, there is a 3 day right to cancel and I cancelled on day one of the second annual membership which I did not sign a new contract. I’m trying to cancel because I am moving and they are not located near my new home. After reading comments by others, would someone please tell me what to do next? I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the States Attorney's office and I will be notifying my employer of their unethical practices since they are one of the preferred gyms on our employee discount list. What are other options? If they hit my credit report, I will sue them. This company needs to be shut down. Tampa Florida

I joined Youfit in October 2014 during a promotional period. Upon signing up I was offered discounted personal trainer services, which had to be paid in advance in order to receive the discounted price. I purchased around 12 sessions and requested a female trainer. I was told that there was one being hired in a few weeks and that it would be no problem if I waited to use the sessions at a later date. I went back to the gym to work out one other time while waiting for the trainer to come on board. Around the second week of November 2014, I received a letter saying that the gym had closed on October 31st, and that all unused dues and trainer fees would be returned to my account. I patiently waited as Christmas, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day passed. In March I started looking for a way to contact the company, but could only find numbers to local gyms in Arizona and other state and not corporate information. There was an option to email the company do I used it to let the company know that I was still waiting on my money, and also that I believe they knowingly signed me up and misled me about services that would be delivered given the fact that they closed 2-3 weeks later. As of today, still no word from the company and no refund! The company never returned my email or called. I see that they have mixed reviews on other sites so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I would like to have both my membership fee and training fees reimbursed at this point, since I've had to wait a ridiculous amount of time. Of course I have cashed check, a business card of the company rep that worked at the local gym, a contract, etc., but these all have local and invalid information for the gym that they closed. This is all really sketchy. I only realized it after I started trying to contact the "corporation." For what it's worth, it was a nice gym, nice equipment, nice people- just don't give them your money!

Largo Youfit scam trainers

Doesn't month to month mean just that? Don't fall into the $10 a month scam because it will cost you more and even hundreds of dollars in fees to get out of it. Read the fine print, and take their contract home and read it a few times before signing. If they won't let you take the contract home to review and pressure you into signing at the location, and promise you can get out without penalty any time, think twice, walk away and find another gym. As far fetched as it is, Don't sign anything with youfit without taking it to your lawyer first, seriously. Review on line complaints...there are hundreds. If you have had any issues with this company, contact the local attorney general and lodge a formal complaint. You are not alone!
